They drive you nuts that way. Antonio kept insisting on climbing in and out of the bathtub to get water. Never mind he had fresh water in a bowl next to him.

So far so good today. I have my fingers crossed that he is getting used to being in his spot.

He must be feeling better. We brought him down so he could eat supper in his usual spot near the kitchen door. He decided that he wanted to go outside, and dinner wasn't that important. Sigh... It's going to be a long week! Neutral

Another outside the box day. At least it was on the mat next to the box. I wonder if the cone is keeping him from doing the right thing, but he pees in the right place. I am suspicious. Silly kitty.

I put Antonio's box inside a broken down large dog crate. That took care of any hangover problems.

Both vets called again to check on their patient. I don't know how we got so lucky to find such nice doctors, but it makes the money seem a little less painful.

Here the kids are in the playpen. I think that is the thing to do so he gets some out time without being too adventurous.

Even with the cone, he' s still a handsome fellow. I see Mouski in the background. We have a new vet in the practice I use. i was asked if they could assign me to her to help reduce Dr. Izzy's workload. I said yes, she she is just great. Used to a be a large animal vet.

Yesterday was a grumpy day. He was just grumpy and pouty. I left him alone to sort it out. Whatever it was seems to have gone away. He used the litter box for both things. No clues what's going through his little kitty brain except GET THIS CONE OFF MY HEAD. 3 more days...

So Mouski wants to be in the playpen more than GK. I set it up in the living room so GK could have a change of scenery. He was squeaky and not really happy, so I brought him upstairs. While we were up there, Mouski got in the playpen and stayed in there for about an hour. The door was open so he could leave, but he decided it was fun to be inside. Smile

A very grumpy day today. He yelled at Mouski and Bingo, and grumped when I brought him to his supper dish. He is SO ready to get the cone off. Only two more sleeps!

GK is cone free! Very Happy He is so happy. He's been washing and scratching all afternoon. The vet says he's actually ahead of the healing curve, but he still needs to stay in jail for 6 more weeks. The key is to limit his activity. NO JUMPING and no stairs. He can still come down and visit as long as he's quiet. Right now, he's sleeping on our bed, so we haven't put him back in the kitty jail room.

Today, he broke out of jail. I didn't do up the baby gate tight enough, and he popped it open enough to squeeze through. So, he broke the "no stairs" rule and came down to visit. Fortunately, he didn't jump.

He's fine. He is just moving around more than he's supposed to. He did it again tonight. I'm going to have to figure out a way to block the edges of the gate so he can't pry it open. He's sleeping on the bed, so no harm done. Silly boy!
