Off to a friend's house so her grand prix horse could teach me to long line. We even got some nice passage (looks like trotting in slow motion). It was a blast.

Same old same old. Work, walk dog, chores outside while trying to keep mosquitoes at bay. Had to order a new rechargeable battery for the Mosquito Magnet. It should be here soon, and I hope it helps.

Do those actually work? I may need one to keep the skeeters at bay while I'm outside walking or working in the garden.

Today, walk to the library in the fog, clear out email, look up medical stuff for my next surgery, poke around in here, print out the Nike baby shoe crochet pattern, walk home, rest up, etc. Brain is still healing, my suture line itches, down by the nape of the neck it aches a bit. Not quite back to normal but really working on it.

They work pretty well, but you need to keep the propane tank full and keep it running all the time. It isn't meant just to remove mosquitoes while you're outside. It's supposed to suck up the breeding adults in an attempt to reduce the population. If you're walking/gardening and worried about some bozo stealing it, I'd say you probably don't want one.

Today's agenda included sorting out some things at work - success - and trying to fix the stuff the latest company computer update messed up.

Going in to the office to get a new work ID. I should have run errands while I was at it, but had a headache, so I just came home for a nice, simple soup dinner.

Trying to get back to normal but still needing to nap a lot more than I used to. Still healing I guess after 5 weeks post surgery.

Taking Mouski to the vet, and catching up after 2 days away. There really wasn't much to catch up on, but I just felt like things were un-done. I didn't get inspired enough to clean the cobwebs out of the windows though. I need to work on that while it's nice enough to have the windows open. Oh... And shampooing the carpets... Never ending housework.

Trip to Williamsburg to renew our annual passes and visit An Occasion for the Arts. Always a good day, and today we ate ice cream for lunch. Bonus!

My husband's 1990 car finally bit the dust. The repairs would have been almost as much as buying a new used car. So, he's now the proud owner of a 2008 Yaris with low mileage. The guy who sold it to us thinks he has a buyer for the dead one. The motor is in good shape, it has new tires, and parts are worth a little money. We might make enough to pay the first payment.

27 years is a good long run for a car. RIP

Today: clear out email really good, print some more patterns out for baby stuff, clean the apartment some, finish organizing the stuff I can eat after surgery, nap (well earned), dinner, spend some time with Bij (little guy has no idea he's off to the vet again), and try to sleep.

Whew! I'm tired just reading that. We're just catching up on chores after vacation. It's amazing how much laundry there is after 5 days having fun.

Going to an oyster roast that benefits the local shelter. They've done so many amazing things over the past few years. They try to place EVERY animal, and have a pretty amazing success rate. I don't mind paying a lot to go to the roast because it all goes to a good cause. (And it's oyster season on the Bay, so extra bennies!)

Work as usual. I need to make time to put bulbs in the ground since it's rained. Perfect time for it.

clear out email, watch kids costume parade, now off to nap a bit, then decide whether to go to the Halloween party of not. There is not one thing on the menu I can have.

Clear out email, wait for pharmacy to deliver my meds, nap! (I really need one today!), then dinner and work on that toy some more. Gotta keep my fingers and mind limber and off my sore throat and ears.

Church lunch, a little light shopping, then Bij cuddles and crocheting. Finished the giraffe toy.
My sis actually called me today and wasn't nasty to me (about grandpa and the inheritance) but no mention whatsoever about my birthday.

I can imagine. My sister in law came with a portion of her family for a wedding. We hung for the day. Had a blast.

Glad you had fun!
Up early today because I woke up with a full blown migraine. No aura so I couldn't head off the pain at the pass. No breakfast, too nauseated. Clear out email, pick up my pie from the financial advisors, take mom to the grocery store. If I'm lucky I'll get a nap in.

I brought my new friend Brian to the library so he could use the computer. Nice, cute too. I like him. But man oh man is he younger than me. So far just friends. He's writing a book.

OOO! Cool!

Here, it's drive all over creation to take care of Envoy and get everything done for tomorrow's cooking. We have tons and tons of stuff we need to do over the weekend too. Sigh. I would love a long, restful weekend, but that's not going to happen this year.
