Was going to get a haircut but there was a sign on the door saying they were closed due to a power outage. Strange, the power was on in the businesses in the same building as the salon/beauty school.

I bet they closed when the power went out and left. Happens here a lot.

It was just odd because the power was on in the other businesses in the same building. Today I'm making a chocolate sourdough cake for a pot luck and going to farmers market.

Still trying to get fully rested after yesterday events (on 3 hours sleep). That test actually set off a migraine with aura! Two days in a row migraines.
Then I've been researching what they found in that test so I'll know what to expect.

Be careful of Dr. Google. You can end up even more frightened and worried than you already are.

Just want to know what it is and be informed about the treatment options so I'll be on the same page as the docs. So far they've been impressed I know exactly what they're talking about! No dumb woman here......

I'm just scared and worried they'll yank my coverage to pay for it all. Even my small inheritance set aside for my retirement years wouldn't be enough to cover the cost, I'd be bankrupt on top of it.

I finally get to take a shower today, see exactly what they did to me, and put a new bandage on the spot. I know it's not in the crease of my leg where I expected it to be.

I WILL be telling them to give me a local where they'll be cutting into me next time on top of the other stuff. The sedative they gave me didn't work well so I did move, cry out, and say OUCH! when they started cutting and as they were snaking that catheter in my veins and they were forewarned anesthetic and analgesics don't work as well on me. I felt that catheter going up in me until it got to my ribs! affraid Shocked

Trying not to let depression take over.......I only have 4 weeks to get these surgeries done before the hospital doesn't take my medical coverage anymore.

Scrambling to find another hospital and doctor who can do the open-head surgery and the hemangioma if I run out of time with UofC's deadline. The insurance is willing to do 'continuation of care' but the hospital is not....seems they're swamped with illinicare patients needing it so they're only giving it to cancer patients. Guess my ticking time bomb in my head isn't serious enough for them....

Moved my friend's horse from a not-great home. She is a bit thin and hasn't been cared for the right way. We took her to a much nicer place closer to my friend's house. It was a very long day, but all ends well.

The weather is so nice that we did lots of outside things when we weren't working. Walked the dog for morning break, and rode bikes a long way this afternoon. We got back too late for a horse ride, but tomorrow definitely. Such great weather for the end of July.

Glad to hear your friends horse is now in much better surroundings getting better care and lots of love!

Taking Bij to be boarded at the vets, finish packing my overnight bag, finish cleaning the place for the quarterly bugman inspection (also tomorrow), shower, try to sleep before getting up at 3am to leave at 4am for the ride into the hospital. By this time tomorrow I should be out of surgery and in recovery.

Thanks, now pray my guilt over having to leave Bij in a cage fades.....

Change the color of the eyes and this looks just like he did when we left: https://www.etsy.com/listing/229620241/sad-black-cat-etsy-illustration-for-the
Poor little guy, ears drooping, face sooooo sad, body language seemed to say "what did I do wrong? Please don't leave me here." We both were nearly in tears as we left him behind.

I kissed him and promised him I would come back for him.

Day from hell....no sleep, too much noise all the time. Tubes and wires everywhere so couldn't move much without yanking on something that hurt. I'm a human pincushion. Late release, last minute labs had to be redrawn AFTER the last IV was removed and I was dressed to go home, very late ride home (very nice people though), no Bij, medicine cabinet was very obviously searched by bugman while I was gone, and only one get well card from the lady dying of cancer upstairs.

My niece didn't call, my sis didn't (a mutual friend was going to tell her), my uncle kept up with the riot act because I didn't tell them beforehand. I am most like too tired to sleep now and too upset over poor Bij. I wasn't kidding the recovery room folks when I asked if they had a therapy furkid I could hug. In fact, I need one now and none of them in the building is home. Sad Sad Sad

And on top of that, they didn't get it all closed up. Only 25% chance it will finish closing off by itself, 75% chance I have to go through this all over again. I find out on the 22nd....

Yuck! Hospitals are the worst place to rest and recover. Good thing you're home now. Does Bij get home on Monday? I hope so!

I had a friend tell me that whenever you plan not to be home (even if no one is scheduled to come in), lock up your meds. There's a big market for the most unexpected stuff.

I've heard that too.

Today was an exciting day. The van died. It's not the starter but the ignation switch. It's going to be painful.

OhDearLord, when it rains it pours all over the place. Hope you can get the ignition switch fixed cheaper than expected.

Today I am trying to get caught up with stuff including my sleep. I am sooo messed up sleepwise. Bij is home. I did get one more get well card from Mickey upstairs.....90 yrs old and such a nice lady. So far only those two cards and still nothing from my niece or sis.

How are the eyes feeling Sue? Who's taking care of Antonio and you? And the rodent patrol?

I have the same eye surgery waiting for me in the future, they're just not bad enough yet.

Now to get caught up on everything finally, and start packing what I can ahead of time for the hospital. I have a much better idea now what to bring and so does mom.
