Nice pics, I can see the puppers were having a ball playing in all that snow.

It's 4 here but windchill is -12 as I type this. We got almost 15 inches of snow with that storm and 55mph windgusts, compared to what you got Bobcat.

Argo (looking jealous on the left) and Lyra went to the groomer on Saturday. Lyra looked so adorable in her little bows I love you that I had to post the pics from my blog here as well. Wesley's such a smoosher with those dogs. Hope you can see them, Fif. Seems to me you can see images from my blog. If you can't, I'll email them to you

Nope - he didn't get anything. We didn't like this place as well as others we've tried. Most places skip the bows and give them both bandanas. Equal treatment for both the babies.

the bows are cute...but i agree that there should be equal treatment..they should treat the girly dogs any different. Boys like to be spiffed up just as well!

I can see the pics. I see Wesley is getting his share of smootches in. I agree Argo should've gotten something, like a lil bandana or better yet--a cute bowtie.

I agree too. Argo was not neglected in the smooching department though, even if he does look a little down in the dumps in the photo. He just would like to be the center of Daddy's universe ALL the time. Rolling Eyes I love you

They are adorable. BC, I thought you and Bluecat a lot when I was at my
cousins in Kentucky. You see they have a Russian blue mix like your beloved
boy. Her name is Blue also and not only was a talker but also quiet the lover.

I still well up when I think about my boy. Maybe there's something special about those Russian Blue mixes... I love you

Definitely there is. My friend's Aloysius (aka Squishy) has been gone for almost 7 years and she still gets sad thinking about her being gone.

Definitely, my sis had a lil russian blue kitten (we don't know if he was a mix or not, didn't look like it but was a stray from the shelter--a bottle baby) who was such a sweet lover of a kitty. I still miss him. Loved nothing more than to be held and rocked like a baby, and sleep on your chest.

Wesley's been on a funny shift for about a week or so, to fill in for a fellow who's on vacation, so he leaves at about 5:30 PM and doesn't get home until about 3:30 or 4 AM. The dogs don't like it much, but last night, at about 11:30, the sound of soft puppy crying woke me up. Lyra was just letting it be known that she wasn't happy that our household wasn't in proper order for sleepies. It was so sweet. I called to her to come back to bed, and gave her some extra cuddles. Then this morning, I told her Daddy to give her some extra attention too. Precious little girl.

Poor little girl. They really hate it when their routine is disrupted and when their peoples are not where they're supposed to be. (Never mind that their peoples don't like it much either!) I'm glad she had her Mama to comfort her. Give her a little cuddle from her Auntie Suze, will you?

Poor Lyra. I'm sure she can't wait for things to go back to normal. When my husband worked night shifts, the kitties were much more clingy even though it was his normal shift. I think they like having all their people at home at night.

Yep - poor poor little girl. I certainly will give her some extra cuddles from her Auntie Suze! I think in some families, there are lots of people coming and going - and doggies are very adaptable to changes in routine, but that's not us. We're really creatures of habit. The dogs and Bobby know our routine very well. Obviously, Lyra was more upset by this change than I had thought. Everyone is usually quite content to go to bed and stay in bed all night when things are going as usual. I think she was wakeful last night, for whatever reason, and since I was asleep, she decided to go into the living room and have a little pity party. Once I woke up hearing her soft little sad cries and called her into the room for some one on one sympathy, she was content to go back to sleep.

Re: BobCat & Co.

Post by BobCat on Tue Jul 19, 2011 7:46 pm

Poor Argo has had some issues with his bottom... He was to the vet after chewing his tail fur off in one spot, and they thought it was either an anal gland issue (which they did find at the time) or a possible allergy to grass & mold - both of which have been high lately. He's been taking children's doses of Benadryl for awhile now, and just as we thought it was getting better, Wesley picked him up last night and he absolutely shrieked, so we learned that it was not. Took him to the vet after work today, and he had an abscessed anal gland that ruptured. Urp Maybe that's why the shriek. It was frightening to hear him yelp so loudly. He's not known for being stoic, but you don't hear that kind of cry from him either. The vet tended to the booty area, and he's on meds now - hopefully he will leave the area alone and won't have to wear a cone... Of course, they shaved his rump a little bit, and now he looks a little monkey-ish back there. Poor baby.
