Highly cute! Did Wesley wake up, or were Lyra's shameless attempts foiled?

He slept right through it. When I shows it to him a few minutes later, when he woke up, he asked 'when did you take that video??'

I believe it was TCM, and we were watching Father Takes a Wife, with Adolphe Menjou, Gloria Swanson, and a very young Desi Arnaz (who you see in that shot), and Wesley was just beat after a long day of work.

Sorry about that, Fif. It was just about 30 seconds of Lyra, who didn't want to be ignored, whining - at first quietly, and then yiping a little louder - to try to get Wesley to pay attention to her, but he was napping. Then when I asked her what was the matter, she was just so cute with her head cocking. She cocks her head this way and that way, trying so hard to understand what you're saying. It's precious.

Oh, I know what that's like. Our Noelle used to cock her head like that every time we talked to her, then she'd talk back to us. My sis' Maggie will do the quiet whine, then a bit louder, then finally a yap to get your attention. If that doesn't work, then you get a paw on the knee with another yap.

Whenever I would do dishes, Arwen tapped my butt and walked to the food dish. Naturally, she wanted the food dished fixed so there wouldn't a hole in the food. My parents have chairs that have spindles in the back. Whenever I would sit down, Arwen put her paw between the spindles and pawed my back. I was always fixing the food dish for Arwen, since she hated to have holes in the food dish.

the Rescue Kitties are like that...they will come begging to me like they're starving and there's four bowls with food in them! i have to 'fool' them with putting about a tablespoon of crunchies in each bowl to make it 'smell' like fresh!

We have to do that for Bijoux too Jeane. He won't eat 'stale' crunchies even if they've only been in the bowl for 10 minutes. After he deems them stale, he won't touch them unless you fool him into thinking you've put fresh in the bowl.

I don't know how I got so lucky, but even with yesterday's blowing snow, my two little snowbunnies ran and tumbled outside like a couple of kids. Bobby, on the other hand, doesn't even want to set foot out there. With age comes wisdom!

You know - no I don't. I'm going to have to grab the camera and catch a few action shots soon. Not too soon though, since our temps are going to nose-dive for the next several days, and I don't want them out there dawdling if it's in the single digits - or worse.

My parents westie loved the snow. I heard that she would play in the snow and then come in with frozen fur that was all covered with snow. I think they used something like a hair dryer to melt the snow.

We in northern IL are supposed to have a high temp on Friday in the single digits. With the expected wind though the temps will feel like subzero all day long. Not good weather for furkids or their peoples.

When it warms up a bit, I'd like to see some pics of your lil snowbuddies Bobcat.

I just remembered that I had promised some photos of my little snow bunnies in action, and I had put a couple of pictures on my blog last week when our blizzard came, so here is the blog entry for that day. I think Fif is able to see photos posted there now - it's just the videos that are blocked.

Wow! I've been whining about our cold weather, but we're LUCKY. We only have a little snow and our temps are in the 30/40s. It's supposed to warm up nicely for the weekend too. I'll just shut up and quit my complaining. I do think we're ALL ready for spring. My kitties are starting to say it would be nice to bask in WARM sun. Smile
