So glad to hear you two have quite a few boxes to hold you over until you find another kind of treat you like as well. Your mom is trying very hard to find a suitable substitute, at least try them instead of snubbing them outright, okay?

Out of the box and into those bags they'll take less room. If you can somehow shape them into a square as that machine sucks out the air they'll stack better and take less room in the freezer. And you can always take Sue's advice: buy another freezer just to keep treats in. Laughing

I'd start now offering greenies or other alternates along with the gold standard. By the time they get disappointed with the quality of the old oldies, they may find the substitutes more to their taste. Good luck!

I'm already mixing in some new treats with their drumsticks. Maybe a little of their flavor will rub off on the new treats to make them a bit more attractive!

Now that's an idea, and if you're storing them together some of the scent may rub off on them as well.

Just saw your blog. The photo was just precious poor girl. I did get a chuckle about
the nine letter text. Wes must text like I do, it must take me ten minutes to do one
word.

Thanks, Sue. I thought she was awfully cute too, and I felt sorry for her, because they just didn't quite get the fact that he was here when they went out, but nowhere to be found when they came in. They love me, but they REALLY love their Daddy. Smitten

As for Mr. Text, I could have crowned him - once I found out he was OK... I had sent him a couple of texts, as I mentioned, and then sent him that photo of Lyra, and no response. How could you NOT respond to that cute little picture???

I had a really good chuckle with your last paragraph. It reminded of this car commercial. I think
it's VW. Anyway two young men are talking next to car that has been in accident. One of them is saying "My Dad's
going to kill me." The second replies no he's not. The first says "Yes, he is look at the car dude." The side of the car is smashed in
and the announcer says for your dad to kill you, you have to be alive.

Saw the blog, too. That Lyra is something else. Argo soon accepted the facts, but Lyra knew what she knew, and dammit, she knew Daddy had to be out there because of the natural order of things. She wasn't about to give up easily! Her grasp of the big picture may be flawed, but her steadfast loyalty is unquestionable!

Today, Lyra seemed to want to stay in bed. It's unusual, because on weekdays we have a routine and the dogs & Bobby are all good with it, but today was different for her. I'm sure she feels just fine, but every time I walked into the bedroom, there she was, sitting on the bed, tail wagging, and when I approached, she'd flip over for tummy rubs. I wonder if she senses the weird storm that's just beginning to hit the area, and figures the best place to spend a snow day is in bed! Wish I could have obliged!

And they were probably shaking their heads, wondering why on earth you went out in that weather.....and why didn't you take the obvious hint they were giving you.

Not me....too hot on that concrete surrounded by a varitable sea of blacktop with no shade to be found beyond my little patched-up umbrella.
