Lunch was good. I'm still stuffed, with a now cold molten chocolate cakelet to eat later on.

Up early.......work.....clear out some email.....LIHEAP appt.....back to the library......then off to work again. Shower to thaw out, cook up another batch of pear sauce, dinner, over to mom's for heat, tv, and furkid lovin' before bed. If I'm lucky I'll also get to read the newspaper at mom's building...and check out the wanted ads.

Anybody had trouble finding cherry extract at the store? NONE of the stores I can get to has any....can't even find a space on the shelf for it in the store. I know they didn't quit making it.

I hear ya. I start my vacation tomorrow. I have 9 PTO days and 236 hours of vacation time. (Don't ask why they're different. It's a long, boring story.) Anyway, it's time to go turkey shopping and house cleaning. Oh yeah… And horse riding and playing with kitties.

Besides the usual: canning more pears but adding cherry extract to try to make them taste like cherry jam instead since I missed cherry season. The end of the pear supply is finally in sight.....after canning 33 pints of jam, 17 pints of chunks, and 9 of sauce. Is it any wonder I am starting to get sick of the sight of pears?

We're going to the University of Richmond to see my team play. My friend's husband went to UofR, and I went to W&M. We're having a rivalry tailgate and a good time. I hope the arctic blast holds off until after the game. Right now, it's in the 50s and breezy. Hope it stays that way!

Despite the Arctic blast here I went to Ft. Worth and had a great time.
Went to the Amon Carter, this major museum with a wonderful collection of
American art and photography. It's a small museum but it seems huge. Very well
laid and the staff will take the time to talk and walk with you.

Today: work in the snow freezing my hiney off (the snow was literally coming at me sideways!), stop at the mechanics' so he could look at my side mirror somebody all but ripped off the car yesterday at the grocery store (hoping he can fix it cheap), library, home to prep apples for jam, work again, hot shower to thaw out, cook the jam, then dinner, over to moms' to thaw out a bit before bedtime.

Saturday I didn't even make it to the library: after picking up our thanksgiving basket (with only the turkey and stuffing mix being the thanksgivingy stuff in it), mom had an accident with her back and nearly fell. HUGE mess to clean up....turkey thawing and dripping all over the place (the kids who carried it must've dragged it a bit on the concrete to make that hole in the packaging), groceries scattered on the floor (but only 2 cracked eggs thank heavens), Bij in hiding, and mom in a bad mood. AND we were having pizza night too. Had barely enough time to make my pizza in a bowl after cleaning up the mess and putting all those groceries away.

same old same old. work as usual. Found out that we can hold over our PTOs until jan 31 so that takes a lot of pressure off my department as to who is going to take off when, especially with our workload. Of course in Jan we start it all over again with next years days.

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!! Woke up early so went to the laundramat to do 3 loads.....but it didn't open on time at all. 6:30am and frozen I left to get breakfast at home and thaw out a bit....it was windchill of -3 this morning. Then do laundry, make cranberry sauce and can some, bake pumpkin pie and cornbread for tomorrow, cut up fresh green beans ready for tomorrow. Dinner, haul pie, sauce, and cornbread over and hopefully get a bit of rest at mom's before bed.

Clear out loads of email, then off to Petsmart to stock up for Bij for the winter. Over to Brads for a movie tonight and Bij snuggling before bedtime.

Work, get caught up on stuff online and at home, pick up mom's prescriptions, work again (hopefully not in the rain), shower, dinner, more work at mom's...collapse into bed.

The computers here are having trouble....I think cyberweek has something to do with it. Sites taking forever to load, or not working well at all.

actually it was set up so anyone could play. whether children, adults or families.

they started an adult craft hour at my library, loom weaving and crocheting. I'd love to join but it's on Wed. afternoons and I'm at work. I wish they would have adult craft things on Saturdays. I do my beading sometimes at the library and always have people looking and asking about it. Kids are fascinated.

I can imagine I mean how often do you see people making things with their hands
anymore. Still the games sound so much fun, I can't remember the last time I played
