gorgonzola, baked potato, salad. Red wine.

oh but i like them...went for at least a decade without any and i've been jonesin' for those little red and white crunchies for months. i can't tell ya how many times i've radish seeds in my hands going to buy them and put them back cuz i needed something else instead. maybe i'll get some seeds at the end of the season and plant them next spring. i refuse to pay around $3 for a handful of radishes...i can eat those in one sitting!

when you get an entree at the diner I go to (I rarely do because its just too much food) they give you a tray with carrots, celery olives and those radishes. I love those radishes too also.

Had my pizza last night. don't know what I'll have tonight yet, dont even know what I'll have for lunch.

Jeane, do you have a Walgreens near you, they are having a sale 10 items for 10 dollars. you have to buy ten but there are a bunch of different selections to mix and match, including cans of salmon and tuna.

I'm thinking along the lines of maybe having some noodles with herbs and butter. Haven't had that in a very long time.

Check your expiration date. Also if the can has any type of damage or bulge
don't use it.

yeah bulges and even anything that might even look like rust....if it doesn't have an expiration date on the can its probably a good indication that its really old cuz pretty much every can has had a date on it for years!

LK i don't think there are any stop and shops in your area but they have graham crackers on sale for $2 a box until i believe sometime in aug;) they have all the 'fixin's' for s'mores on sale. (though $3.33 for a pack of hershey bars doesn't scream sale to me).

i had round raviolis for dinner...i'm waiting to see how it settles.

welp it was another one of those unrecognizable bowls of 'stuff' for dinner. i'm getting to the point where if i can't identify what's in the bowl i'm not eating it.i did have a nice little pepperoni and sausage $1 pizza in the freezer. i'm thinking of trying to make a sort of cole slaw from some shredded cabbage and the mire poix and some greek dressing i got the other day.

We had chow mein last night. Don't worry, if it's expired past a year, bulging, dented on a seam, or rusted it went out to the garbage room. Not sure about tonight, but I have a feeling it will be noodles or macaroni of some sort.

Right now I'm more concerned with lunch. The is the day the Lair is closed for
lunch. I would go and make something but we have a crew finishing the project that
was started last week.

I was wrong, it was rice.

Tonight will either be chicken and noodles (with a whole canned chicken she got from the church IF it's still good--there is no date on it but it isn't bulging or anything) or we'll be having spaghetti.

That's dinner here tonight. Along with some potato salad and really good tomato basil salad
that I pulled off the salad bar.

an omlet with chopped up potatoes in it.....sorry but i picked out the potatoes....why potatoes in an omlet? (i'd rather have an egg 'fried' in a nonstick pan with no oil....gawd i used to make so much stuff in my nonstick pan....i don't even know if they have one upstairs!) had a nice croissent though...that was good:)
but i might break down and make some tuna with mirepoix cuz i'm craving some crunchy veg:) ....or maybe my new version of cole slaw...bagged shredded cabbage, the mirepoix stuff and some greek salad dressing;)

The coleslaw variation sounds interesting. I put potatoes in my omelette, along with chili's and
anything else I can get my hands on.

well i spent about a week looking for cole slaw dressing and couldn't find a single one i liked. i had this bag of shredded cabbage that was on sale and i needed something. the greek dressing looked good and not like that oil and vinegar italian (and it was on sale;) ) when i got home i found i had a little bit of ranch and a little bit of blue cheese dressing in the fridge. so its mosty the Wish Bone greek vinaigrette with a little bit of the creamy stuff.
i've never been good at making slaw from scratch. my dad used to make the nastiest cole slaw(very runny and the cabbage was too big)....i really like very fine shreds and a creamy dressing and on the dry side;)

I'm prefer a creamy type of dressing rather than a vinegar based. Mazaretti makes a good
bottled dressing. Carolyn, one the people her makes a great vinegar based slaw dressing, I've always
found it easier to buy the bagged slaw mix. Unless you have a food processor or a really sharp knife the
kit is easier.

I have one of those in my kitchen! I usually use grated cabbage and carrots, along with miracle whip, a touch of salt and pepper, and maybe some sweet pickle relish when I make cole slaw. Everybody here says it's good.

Dinner last night was spare ribs, after I had a chance to cool off for 2 hours to actually have an appetite. Tonight? Might be ice cream.

I'm not going to tell you you should go the the doc tomorrow for some antibiotics, Jeane, because you already know it. Evil or Very Mad

There was a lady I knew as a child who made the best cole slaw ever, and I've never been able to dupicate it or find anything similar, except perhaps KFC (a very distant runner up). Small cut cabbage, tons of mayo, vinegar, salt, perhaps a pinch of sugar?? She passed on many years ago or I would find her and ask. Her cole slaw make me a life-long seeker for the perfect cole slaw. I love that stuff!
