Well... She has normal pony ears, but she flops them to the side when she's relaxed. It's too cute.

Sue, I know she can be hot under saddle. The people who have been riding her say that she's really well behaved, but she can get strong. I think I'll be ok with that. Smile

No, it's more like a chili in your scrambled eggs. A little something to keep you
alert but not harmful.

I need to order her bridle this weekend. I found the one I want online, but I just really hate spending the money. But, Sabi's bridle is now with my friend's daughter so she has one for her pony, and Casper's bridle broke. (He's sharing with Envoy for now.) So, it's off to shopping land for me.

It turns out that Falkina might stay for a couple weeks at the trainer's. Casper would come home with her for a while, and I might be babysitting a friend's horse while she is away for a while. Casper would have a buddy, and I could bring her to the arena for some intro riding time. Envoy is staying while the trainer is on her last travel trip for a while. So, we might have some stirred up times this spring, but we'll be ok. All of us are pretty casual about our living arrangements. Smile

Complicated. I think Casper would like the youngster horse. I need to figure it all out soon. We have to finish some stall repairs and check the fencing.

Bridle is ordered, and I just got an email that said it had been shipped. That was quick.

That is quick.......now to see if the mailman is......
Will Casper meet Falkina before you take them home? Might be easier with other buddies around the first time.

He will. Everyone will be at the trainers on the day I pick her up. Depending on schedule, etc., she might spend the night there. I'm taking the next day off work, so I might leave her there so I can ride the next day.

The bridle came yesterday. I've assembled it, which was no small feat. It is NOT the old-fashioned style bridle. There are no more straps, but they all hook together differently. And, the company did me a disservice by attaching everything together inside out! Oh well... I used my puzzle skills (which aren't all that great) to put it together. I'm taking it to the barn today to try on Casper whose head is about the same size as Falkina's. Let's hope it works since it was so much effort to get it all ready.

Success! The bridle looked really cute on Casper. We walked around for a little while, and he had no complaints. Smile

Panic is starting to set in. There is still so much to do, and hardly any time to do it. Of course, work decided to need extra time and attention. Grrr. I need to buy grain, hay, shavings. Looks like a BUSY Friday and Saturday. (I took Friday off just to deal with my panic.)

This is the first time I've had so many moving parts. I haven't had any horses at home for almost 3 months, and it seems like starting over. Smile
