Thanks. I was also thinking pocket doors for the bathroom and pantry, slide out cutting boards (they're tucked right underneath the countertop) for additional counterspace when needed like chopping veggies, cooking big dinners, etc. We had two of those in the tiny travel trailer I lived in until I was 12. Outside 8 x 44, inside 7 1/2 x 43 1/2. Made a lot of difference for my mom. A window in the bathroom made to look like light colored stained glass, privacy but natural light. Maybe a closet for current season in with the pantry. I'll have to start sketching to see if that's possible.
But where would I park it while it's being built and afterwards? Where would I live while it's being built? There's no place around here.

Read (or should I saw looked--it's mostly pictures) "Tiny". It's a bunch of homes from just under 1000 sq ft to less than 100 sq ft.

I got The Perfect Match by E.D. Baker from the library. It is the sequel to The Fairy-Tale Matchmaker. Cory is a female Cupid who lives in a modern fairy tale world. She sets up soul mates, works odd jobs and plays drums in a band.

Oooooo....let me know if it's good. I haven't gotten that one yet. Hoping Santa will bring it since I can't afford to get it.

Still reading up on tiny houses even though my dream of having one is mostly dead now.

Currently reading "Tiny houses : designs for 43 tiny houses for getting away from it all".
Interesting book, loads of pictures with floor plans.....everything from tiny houses, to sheds, tree houses, lots of extremely different types of small shelters.

I have read The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud and now I am reading the prequel The Ring of Solomon. Bartimaeus is a djinni...and the human magicians are the bad guys.

Haven't been able to do any reading since mid September due to 60+ hour work weeks due to crap load of federal mail. Finished with round one of federal mail on Dec 10. Last week started the second round of federal mail. Third round of federal mail should start soon. I read Dark Crystal graphic novel vol 3 today. I hope to start Uprooted by Naomi Novik this weekend.

Started reading A Street Cat Named Bob. Very well written, I'm glad I've finally gotten around to this. Fluff have you had a chance to get anymore reading done. Being to busy to read sucks.

Front Runner by Felix Francis. It's reminiscent of his dad's stuff but a bit different. I'm enjoying it even if it isn't the classic stuff.

Finally got around to reading A Street Cat Named Bob. I highly recommend this book. I understand why the rescue community really went nuts over this book but James Bowen is speaking to something else. He does it not only well but knock you socks off and pin your ears back. He is speaking not only but the power of love and redemption but about the power of despair and addiction and what it takes to overcome it.

Cabins and Cottages......trying to get ideas for a small house floorplan. Found one perfect for a narrow but deep lot (there is one like that I have my eye on). Almost like the floorplan I had for my tiny house, only bigger.

I found this online, with free shipping no less!  I can see it converted into a nice rustic style house:

I can picture those center posts as part of the corner of a room....very open floorplan.  Patio doors where the barn doors are, more windows, maybe a few skinny clerestory windows in the loft for light (use that for storage). Painted light cream between the beams, stain the beams themselves. Sliding barn type doors for closing off bedroom and bathroom doorways. And of course, floor to beam bookcases for all my books. It can be doable IF I can get a piece of land cheap enough WITH utilities present. They'll add windows and another door, for a price, if you ask. What do you think?

This is what got me thinking about something other than a garage for converting into a house: http://tinyhousetalk.com/kathys-16-x-28-tiny-cottage-in-texas/ There are no Sturdi-built manufacturers near me so I can't do what she did. I think what she did was very creative and made a nice cute home.
