Yes, he certainly is a silly boy. Right now Antonio is snugged into the Giant Cat Bed.

Not only is Bijoux a cuddly boy these days, but since the weather here has gotten really cold mom informs me he wakes her up to turn up the heat! Guess he hasn't figured out how to turn the thermostat knob for himself yet. He also steals every warm spot he can find.

Bij was all curled up in his cuddlebed when I came in last night, took him a few minutes to get up to come greet me. Of course he was draped over my head again, all I need is another Bij on the other side and I'd have a nice big set of purring earmuffs on. Got several kisses, loads of purrs, then request for crunchies and treats. Played a bit with schmice and a pingpong ball. Then up on the walker to mew pitifully (he wanted to go out). No go. Then consoled himself by going to the new cuddlebed next to my chair to curl up. He didn't nap, but just looked at me like "Well, where's my ear scritchies slave?" At one point he was leaning so hard into my hand if I'd pulled it away he'd have fallen out of bed. Shocked Mom got lots more cuddles than I did as I was mostly ignored until wetfood time. Then I got the Mesmero act aimed right at me, but mom got it for him. Nice walker ride too since he went immediately to it and hopped up with a cheerful mew. No nitenite kisses for me at the door though. The draft must've been too cold, he wanted to leave right away to continue his ride.

We're finally getting some wintery weather here too. It was 75 degrees on Thursday and it's 45 today. Tonight is supposed to be COLD (for those of us in softer climes). I'll bet the kitties will be all curled up on the bed. Petie is already snugged down in the guest room upstairs. (Archimedes' old chair is up there with a big wool blanket on it. Perfect kitty nap spot.)

I'd take 45 today, we didn't even break 30 yesterday here for a high. Bijoux has either been on mom all curled up in a ball hogging the blankets or in the cuddlebed by my chair, which is as far from the window as you can get without being in the kitchen. That window is terribly drafty. He begged mom to turn up the heat again last night, but mom tells me in the middle of the night it gets cold no matter what you set it on, then by midmorning you're roasting. I swear they have a setback on the boilers (it's hot water heat) and the thermostat is only on the wall for looks.

Bij greeted me at the door last night, and patiently waited for me to remove hat, scarf, coats (yes, multiple), extra pants, and shoes. Got escorted to my chair with immediate shoulder and head warmer in place purring when I sat down. Got some snuggles in before he abandoned me to see mom for a while. Suddenly it was like the energy bug bit and he was off to the races! Played a bit of hide n seek with him too. Tired lil guy grabbed a snack, then hit the cuddlebed by my chair for a nap AFTER he made sure I paid homage to him while he was getting comfy in there. That includes ear and chin scritchies, and back rubbing (which is hard on my arm as it doesn't really bend that direction unless I twist my back in my chair to reach). The things we do to keep our kitties happy......... Bij can see my book and any snacks I have easily from that bed, it's the same level as my chest when I'm sitting down. And he can easily reach over and pat my cheek or my arm if he wants a nibble. Wetfood revue started when that nap was over, and what a show. Bij got dinner a bit early and a walker ride too.

Only if I pile them on a chair.......most of the time I hang them up because mom hollars otherwise. Bij mostly just wants me to shed them quickly (and I do too because they keep it so hot in her building) so I can pick him up and greet him properly (ie: hugs, kisses, general worshipping). Bij was nowhere to be seen when I walked in last night and mom was gone to potluck, but as I was shedding my last bit of extra clothing here he comes from the bedroom.....mewing at me. Must've been either in the bathroom or napping in the window. Wanted immediate cuddles so I obliged by picking him up and carrying him to my chair for some rocking and hugging. HUGE purrs filled the room so much I had to turn the tv up! Shocked Happy little guy then draped himself over my head again (always the left side, don't know why) and continued purring for me (I could hear it through his ribcage covering my ear). My but his fur tickles my cheek, and his tail whapping me in the face. Got a short Eau de Bijoux hairtreatment while he was up there. After a while I guess he got tired (or my head isn't comfy enough) so he settled in my lap for a bit, until mom got back from potluck. Off he went like a shot to greet her, and see if she brought anything back for him. She did: some chicken and cake with mint frosting. The frosting was too strongly minty so he passed on that but sure did enjoy the chicken. Wasn't long before he was zooming around the place, running off the calories. Seems to enjoy having his toybasket again, he was digging around in it, found a plastic grape, and had some fun with that playing soccer all over the room. LOL Mom got snuggles after that, until Wetfood Revue Show time. Quite a performance too. Ate, burped, and demanded a walker ride. Hard to explain I wasn't leaving yet (the movie wasn't over) so he had to wait. Got his ride though and I didn't get any kisses nitenite. He pointedly turned around when I asked for one (I am not kissing his hiney).

Bij loves his quilt and afghan year round to nap on. He was in the bedroom when I went over last night, jogging for the door when he heard me come in. He wanted some snuggles, treats, and dinner already. Mom was napping so she hadn't given him his crunchies yet. Ate like he was starving, then looked to be burped. A few more snuggles and shifted over to the cuddlebed next to my chair to watch me crochet. His lil face was right at the same level as mine so he had a great view of what I was doing. Both front paws were hanging over the edge of the bed so he was sprawled out as far as he could go considering where he was. Fell asleep watching me, until mom got up. He followed her everywhere, concerned because she wasn't feeling well (had a headache). He snuggled with her for a while, and the Wetfood Revue started early. As soon as he got his dinner though he was zipping around like a lil racehorse, no idea why but he looked like he was having fun. Asked for a walker ride at least 5 times and finally got one, down to the mailbox and back. Mom wasn't going to take him but I told her he didn't care how long the ride was, he just wanted to go out for a few minutes so she took him. Looked happy enough he got to go with us. I even got a nitenite kiss at the door!

I got some snuggles last night since we didn't go to the Christmas party (mom was not feeling well at all). Bij was her lil velcrokitty all day long and mom was complaining about it. I reminded her he was trying to let her know he was concerned and keeping a close eye on her, like when she had her stroke. At least he greeted me at the door and paid some attention to me. At one point he was all curled up in a lil ball on my lap, facing me. Mom said he was cold so I gave him a nice rubdown to warm him up. Seemed to work, he stretched out a lil bit with a contented sigh. Asked for crunchies via Mesmero act, had his face in the bowl before I was done pouring it in. Snuggled with mom after that, then used us both as a kitty highway to get to the cuddlebed by my chair. Curled up in there facing us both, to keep a better eye on us (how he did that with his eyes shut I don't know). Every time one of us so much as twitched a muscle his eyes would open and he'd be ready to jump out to follow.............. he was right in mom's ear when she was on the phone with Brad to see how he's doing (he's doing okay BTW). Got a nice walker ride to see me off before he got his dinner. I know he snuggled with mom afterwards for a postdinner nap.

for a nap he was all snuggles and snores.

Petie sure sounds like he's enjoying his indoor retirement. So sweet to snuggle with you like that.

Bij was snuggling with mom all day long, and was coming to the door when I walked in. He wanted some snuggles from me too. Couldn't seem to get his fill of snuggles, kept going from mom to me soaking up the love.....and warmth. Very Happy Kept asking for walker rides off an on all night long, and when he didn't get one he consoled himself with a crunchies snack and snuggling. At one point he sat on the walker seat and quietly cried the most pitiful small mews to go for a ride.......so heartrending. After a brief wetfood revue show he asked once again and got his ride on the walker to see me off when I insisted mom take him with her to the mailbox. I told mom he didn't care how long of a ride he got, so long as he got one to get out and about. He looked pretty happy riding on the walker to me. No nitenite kisses at the door, but I did get a few before we left the apartment.

Consider my Lori hugged and purred for you...........Bij I hope you like what's in those packages.

I wish I could afford to mail out to every kitty I know but had to pick and choose this year. Now the kitties in my mom's building have a present from Santa Paws to look forward to also. Bij has been watching me make the stuff the past few days, looking, sniffing, but not touching even when I offered to give him one. Silly boy. He's been greeting me at the door and immediately asking for a walker ride (he usually doesn't get it then). I get lots of snuggles (mostly draped over the head ones lately), purrs, and some kisses. Great song n dance numbers for the Wetfood Revue Show too. When I called my mom yesterday after dropping her off from grocery shopping, Bij could hear me and was all over mom trying to get to the phone, mewing and pawing. I told him I'd be over as soon as I ate. He was waiting in the window for me, and was at the door by the time I got in the building. I even brought him a taste of my dinner (pork tenderloin), he loved it. Worked like rocket fuel...he was bouncing off the walls having a great time and even played some What's Under the Footrest with me. Mom got snuggles too, in fact he's practically glued to her unless I'm there these days. Cold weather sure has encouraged him to be extra snuggly (like he needed more encouragement for that!). Got a nice escort out too, Bij was looking at all the door decorations along the way.

I know, she spoils me rotten, even more than my meowmy does at times. She has more patience with me too, and gets down on the floor or runs around to play with me....that is so much fun. She offered me a new toy but I didn't take it, I knew it was for one of the other kitties in the building for Chrismouse Eve. I made sure to greet her at the door last night, and gave her lots of head snuggles and kisses. I even snuggled in her lap for a while too. And I guarded her while she scooped my bathroom out for me, and swept up the litter I tracked out without complaining about it like meowmy does. Made sure to invite my Lori to play What's Under the Footrest and Tag with me, I know she likes doing that. She put my toybasket right where I could get to it (meowmy had moved it way up high so it was out of the way of the tv guy whose coming today), but it's still out of the way so meowmy won't move it on me again. Had tons of fun playing with some plastic grapes she found for me (I lost them under the tv). And I made sure to include her in my snacking and dinner plans, she even shared her christmas nougats with me. YUM! Love that minty flavor, reminds me of catnip. I even escorted her to the patio door and watched her walk home across the yard, to be sure she got there okay. I know we kitties have to take special care of our peoples, and I take that job seriously.

tosses a toy in the air and I leap and catch it. Then I pummel it to death. We have fun doing that.

She'll toss toys for me too and sometimes I toss them high in the air myself to go chase and beat to death. I got several balls and schmice to play with last night and she played with them too. I was a little surprised at first but jumped right in when I saw she really wanted me to come join her. I didn't know she'd learned so much just from watching me until I saw her doing the same thing last night. Meowmy was sleeping on the couch so I was really rested up and ready for some fun. I made sure to greet my Lori at the door right away and ask her how her day went. Then I made sure she was warmed up really good by laying on her head, shoulders, chest, and finally her lap. I know it's very cold outside so she needed that, meowmy hogs the blankets so how else is Lori supposed to get warm? She brought over some very yummy roast with parsnips and carrots and gravy, it smelled so good I couldn't stop licking my lips in anticipation. It was even better tasting than it smelled! She shared with me and made sure meowmy did too. And for dessert I got a christmas nougat. Of course that makes a good kitty tired, so I napped for a while next to her in the cuddlebed. She rubbed my ears until I fell asleep. When I woke up meowmy was up so I asked for crunchies, for later, and zipped around the place to make mom smile. She went back to nap on the couch so I sat on the back of it to keep a close eye on her. My Lori went home early since she had a headache so meowmy got me my dinner.

I will take a nibble or two of carrot or parsnip, but I much prefer corn on the cob or peas if I have to eat veggies. I also like wheat rolls even without butter, strawberry marshmellows, and almond slivers. Meowmy was on the couch watching tv when Lori came over last night. I was warming up her chair for her, but I was so comfy and toasty I really didn't want to get up. She kissed me hello, ruffled my fur, then picked me up and hugged me. Sat down and continued hugging me and kissing me, so I had to return the gesture. I draped myself over her head again and she laughed. Told me I was a silly boy and my fur tickled. Made sure to give mom attention too so all night long I was going back and forth, first some snuggles with mom, then Lori, then mom again, then Lori for a nice long lapnap. Invited her to play Whats Under the Footrest and Tag (she's better at it than meowmy is), and she found a pingpong ball I lost so we played with that a while too. I didn't even have to sing or dance for my dinner, Lori got it for me right on time and made sure I was happy with the service before leaving the kitchen. I gave her and mom thankyous, then Lori left for home. Meowmy didn't feel like going out just then, so I didn't get to escort her out like I wanted to. I watched from the window instead, ready to yell out if she got hurt going home. With the leaves off the tree I can see her going home nearly all the way to her door upstairs.
