Hopefully, he'll be back to his perky self when the stitches are gone. I know that I'm always groggy for a few days after any medical procedure. A big one like surgery has got to last longer.

Feel better, Bij!

Kitties sure don't listen to the vet AT ALL!! When my Envigado had some of his teeth pulled last year, he turned up his nose at the wetfood he was supposed to eat in favor of his regular crunchies...sheesh!

Bij is slowly getting back to normal. He didn't come greet me at the door, he was napping in the bedroom window on that soft cushion and his afghan. I made sure to go kiss him hello though. Half an hour later he still hadn't come out to see me so I went to get him. Carefully picked him up and carried him to my chair, told him I missed my cuddlekitty, rubbing his ears, and laid him on his not so sore side on my belly still rubbing his ears. He only stayed for a few moments, but he settled in oh so slowly onto my lap after that....and stayed for over an hour as I petted him. He got up for a snack so I fixed something for me to eat and he actually waited for me to sit down again so he could lay in my lap again for another hour. Very Happy After that he got up and went to mom, got petted a bit before he slowly laid down on her tummy. He hasn't done this since before the surgery. No great wetfood revue show at all, just a soft mew and a glance at the clock and kitchen a bit before it was time. He got dinner early, an extra large portion. When I went to leave for home he went to the walker and hopped up on the seat. Mom took him for a short ride to see me off. I noticed he hunkered down more than usual to keep his balance but he sure seemed happy to get to go out!

Mom noticed he takes a bath more carefully, and slowly, right now. He hasn't bothered the surgery sites at all. What a good boy.

He is a good boy not to do that. Sounds like he is still really sore, still glad he settled in
your lap.

Poor little guy. He does sound sore. It's good to hear he's coming back to normal though. He'll probably be his same old self in a few more days or so.

Bijoux is still not greeting me at the door but is snuggling with me more now. I actually got my earwarmer kitty back sitting on my shoulder for about 5 minutes (that was about all he could tolerate for now). Mom reports he's snuggling on her more all stretched out. He kept stealing my warm spot every time I got up to go do something, and looked so comfy I hadn't the heart to move him. Everytime either mom or me would go into the kitchen, if we rattled a bag or opened the fridge he was right there. He asked to look at anything we ate, just in case he wanted some. Now that's more normal! Mom and I did take a peek at his tummy, carefully, not touching those spots. Looks like the vet pulled out a tiny bit of hair around each area (so he wouldn't have to shave him) and used a tiny holepunch on his skin. One is pretty deep, that would be the biggest and longest-been-there spot, so that's the one that still hurts. Not red or swollen, looks pretty good considering. I doubt he'll have any scars at all. Of course, since Bij was so good about us looking at his hurt tummy he got his wetfood dinner early, an extra large portion, and stinky fish flavor. He loved it. Got a nice walker ride too. Tonight we'll see if he has any interest in pizza cheese.

Bijoux is finally back to normal! As of yesterday mom reported he woke her up for breakfast as usual, bugged her as usual for this n that, and I got a LOT of ear warming and lapwarming myself last night. Digging through the toybox for certain schmousies too. Completely back to normal. He was even zipping around the place like a cheetah, running for the sheer fun of it. Very Happy I got no greeting at the door, he was napping in the window so I surprised him. Quick to come out and see me though. No interest in the pizza cheese though he did give it a thorough sniff. He was more interested in the edge of the crust.

Saturday I washed up his quilt and afghan and brought them back that afternoon still warm from the dryer. He was in the window napping so I draped the afghan over him. He laid there covered up like that for nearly a half hour before he came out to see me. Wish I could've taken a pic of that...it was so cute.

Just busy purging stuff at home for inspection---so much to do and who knows how much time before they show up to get it done in?

Bijoux is completely back to normal in a big way. Not only did I get greeted at the door, but he's been begging to go for walker rides (can't--mom has laundry piled on it but hasn't done it yet), playing all sorts of games with me, and we're getting some world class Wetfood Revue Shows with matinee hours! Very Happy Toys scattered all ove the place too, and mom is grateful when I show up because she finally gets a break from the "I'm 5 kitties all wanting attention" routine. My ear has never been warmer. Lots of purrs, kisses, and even a couple of hugs from my special boy. I even got an escort to the patio door from Bijoux, who went for a walk instead of a ride.

He goes in for his postop check tomorrow morning so I may be late getting in here.

That's great news. Glad to hear that he's feeling so good. I think he might have taught Petie about scattering toys. We have them all over the first floor of the house. (He's giving me the "look.")

Just a quick note: Bij did really well this morning. He did growl at me when I picked him up off the scale and started heading for an exam room. I told him not to growl at me, I'm his best friend. Even when mom is mad at him I'm not. Mom tried to give him some of his very favorite treats but he wasn't speaking to either of us at that moment. Met the new lady vet that partnered with Bij's usual vet (he was in surgery); she was very nice and gentle with him. Looked him over very well, and was expert at giving his vaccination. We could tell she really likes kitties and just loved Bij. He didn't growl at her at all. Lil guy was so happy to get back in the carrier to go home. I made sure the car was nice and toasty since it's snowing here today and very cold. I imagine he'll sleep a bit more than usual tonight because of the shot. I suggested mom give him a bit of wetfood when I dropped them off, I hope she did give it to him.

We are still waiting on the pathology report on his removed masses. The surgery sites are nearly completely healed (we could barely see them) and just need hair to grow back. Oh, and he weighed 14.9# this morning....

What a silly boy to growl like that. Glad the new vet likes cats. Antonio hisses. Sounds like a snake.

He growled a little at the vet lady too, but she had a thermometer and then a needle in her hands......

Bijoux not only greeted me at the door, but was MY special lil snugglebuddy all evening long. He did go lay on mom for about 5 minutes but that was it. Got a nice earwarming, then tons of laptime. Guess he'd forgiven me for driving him to that place. Didn't seem sore from the shot either so that vet did it very well. They did call at closing time to see how he was after his shot and to say he was fine, no cancer. All the edges of what they removed had normal cells so they got it all regardless. Bijoux's wetfood revue show started early (what else is new?) as soon as it got dark, and what a show! Had great fun playing with him and took him on a long ride and walk too. Didn't have to ask him twice if he wanted to go out.....hehehehehe

Any bets on who's baby he is tonight: mine or moms'?

So would I.

Bij didn't greet me at the door Saturday or Sunday night. He was much too busy applying kitty healing vibes on his meowmy. But he did come to apply some to me a short while later both nights. Mom and I both caught the same cold at the same time and we're miserable, so Bij is quite busy playing nurse. I got the lion's share of kitty healing vibes last night as mom kept tossing and turning so he couldn't get comfy. I even got kisses despite having coughdrop breath, so I know for a fact he loves me. Nice fairly quiet song n dance for dinner, right on time. And a short walker ride afterwards, to keep him happy so he'd let mom sleep. I'm sure he snuggled with mom when they got back home after seeing me off.

I am starting to feel a bit better but mom isn't. I had such a horrible headache yesterday it was all I could do to work and clear out half the email yesterday. Nauseated from that headache too. Cough is still bugging me a bit but at least I can breathe out one nostril today. Bij has been such a sweetie the whole time we've been sick. Loads of snuggles, gentle pats to check mom from time to time and very gently lay on her too. Greeted me at the door and followed me to the chair, where I got a kiss, purrs, and a nice shoulder snuggle before settling in my lap purring up a storm for me. Got supervised when I scooped out the pan, and thanked for crunchies he didn't ask for. I tossed a few toys for him to chase since he asked for (twice) and didn't get a walker ride (until I left for home). Didn't even get much of a Wetfood Revue Show, he just looked at me and then glanced at a sleeping mom. I gave him dinner without him having to beg, got a lil trill of thanks but not much singing while it was warming up. Nice thankyous and some snuggles before I went home with my furry lil escort.

Glad you are feeling better. I hate headaches like that, I usually get them when
I don't drink enough water. Antonio is good at nursing like Bijoux, Today he insisted that
we nap and snuggle instead getting on the computer.
