It took months for Archimedes to let GK into the house. He stayed on the porch for a whole winter so they could see each other through the glass. Then, he came in for short times. Gateway got over it quickly because he is inside/outside and had met GK outside, but Archimedes took a long time. Kitties are very territorial, aren't they?

I know your landlord won't let you take her in even if you wanted to, and Antonio would protest for a while too if you could let her in. Still, the thought of them getting along and seeing each other through the door is cute. Wish I could take her, I'd find that peeking in the door gesture wanting to come in too cute to resist.

That possum is getting pretty bold to be that close to the door! I hope it isn't chasing off the wild kitties. Did you see any of the wild bunch?

Maybe they're trying to keep your feeding them lowkey enough so nobody will notice.....or know just how many of them there are.

Thought I would check in here. Things have been quiet no intruder, there was a new freeloader.
He/she is black with a nice color on. I've seen this cat before over the past year or so. The Wild Bunch
is doing fine. The weather on the whole has been mild. The Away Group is also looking good. I didn't see
them tonight. I did see a dog near where I feed so I just left a scant handful. I hope it was a dog and not a
coyote I didn't get a good look.

It's kinda hard to mistake a coyote for a dog, something about the longer legs gives them away even at a glance. We have coyotes here too, so our ferals around town are very careful. I've seen those coyotes less than a block from my place!

Glad to hear the wild bunch are doing okay.

Well finally got a good look at the Intruder and he/she is not ear tipped. GRRRR!!!
Anyway he/she along with Sport and GW are having a snack. Will go later to feed the
away group. By the way I'm taking of Amber, this is the cat that was abondoned and that
one of the members and his son took in. She's doing great, fat and sassy.

Well it's cold wet and just nasty here. The Wild Bunch is looks dry, so where every they are
denned up it must be dry and reasonably warm. Tabby, Intruder and Boomer were by earlier having a
snack. Right GW and Sport are having their late night supper of tinned and dry food. Didn't make the run
tonight, my friend did.

At least everyone is dry, fed, and safe....that's the important thing. Oh, and that they are cared about too.

Just got back from the Run. Didn't see my guys tonight. A front has come in and
the temps while in the mid-forties with the wind is making it feel like the upper thirties.
So hopefully they are hunkered down. I left some food not a lot because I saw food left from
last night. The Wild Bunch has snacked all day and Boomer put in appearance. I will check the back
porch before I turn out the lights, if anybody is out there I will put out some kibble, too late to put out tinned
food.

If they're hungry enough they'll come to the porch no matter the weather...and I have no doubt you'll put some food out there if they mew for it.

It's funny you say that. Since it's dark early, I didn't see Tabby until he stood up
and looked in.

Ah, he was peeking in to make sure you were home and knew he was there for dinner? I wonder if he learned that from the others who've done that before him.

Funny how the kitties always seem to know where the houses are where people leave snacks out for hungry kitties.....

Thought I would give everybody and update the Wild Bunch along with the away
crew. Lately everybody had been eating in shifts, except tonight they showed for a late
supper. No freeloaders, no intruders. I do have traps so that if and when he/she shows back up
and I can snag them. Then off to surgery we go. The away group is fine and greeting me every night.

The weather is supposed to turn, rain with a ten to fifteen degree temp drop. Everybody should be fine
since their general health is good and they have places they can den up.

Thought I would check in here. The Wild Bunch is fine, there is another freeloader, a black cat
from the street behind me. Don't worry he/she doesn't have to cross a street to get just ducks
across an alley. The Away Group is fine, saw the Siamesse cross for the first time in over a month. She
looks really good. I also stepped on her when she got up under my feet Rolling Eyes . She very friendly and has a home.
For a while Christine and I thought the owners had moved or something worse.

If she has a home what is she doing wandering the neighborhood? She could tangle with any number of dangerous things, including wildlife. Poor kit, bet she was looking for loving attention being underfoot like that.

Thought I would check in here. Everybody is doing fine. Tabby is going to scare me to
death one day though. He hides under a plant blanket on the back porch. We have some
hibscus and due to some tender loving care by one of the staff they survive the winter. Anyway in
bad weather he hides under it. I don't think he stays there all the time but hangs there while waiting for
breakfast or any other meal that's forthcoming.
