Still too hot to cook but still......I think I'll have some pork chops, Brussels sprouts, and a fruit ice pop.

You can eat my Brussels sprouts. Razz

Not sure what we're doing. We were supposed to go with friends for another friend's birthday dinner, but the birthday girl isn't feeling well. Time to innovate.

Turned out to be BLTs. They were delicious. (Hard to mess up a BLT.)

Did you have an avocado? That makes them perfect. I did a shrimp stir fry. I had some left over coconut milk (unsweetened) from when I made a pie. I used some of that to make the rice and I added some saffron to it. Turned out really well.

No avocado. My husband doesn't like them. I love them, so next BLT day, I'll put some on mine. Smile Your dinner sounds really good, Sue.

Tonight was shrimp gumbo. It's one of my FAVORITE foods. We have lots of leftovers, and will probably end up freezing some.

I've still have enough coconut milk to another batch of rice next week so I'm going to try it again with lemon grass.

A bunch of beautiful steamed crabs with Old Bay seasoning. A surprise from a friend cooked right in my driveway. It's been ages since I sat on the porch picking crabs. What a wonderful night! It was so good, I didn't have anything with it. I just ate about a ton with no sides. I have some picked and waiting for lunch tomorrow too.

Pasta with some of the garden tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella chunks. Simple but delicious.

Ok... It's breakfast, but it was so good I had to share. Crabmeat omelets. They were so good. Smile Try it if you can get ahold of fresh crab. I used muenster cheese, crab, and some sliced green onions.

That does sound wonderful.. I'm revisiting my stir fry, this time I'm using lemon grass in the rice with the rest of the coconut milk.

It was sweet/spicy. I put in a jalapeño and onions with the pineapple. Tomatoes just rounded out the sauce to make it a bit less sweet. Of course, salt and pepper. It turned out good as weird as it sounds. Smile

I can handle weird. If you used a fresh jalapeno I can even handle that.

EEW! That sounds as bad a jarred asparagus.

Tonight was salad with fresh tomatoes. The plants are almost done producing, and I'm sad. Some of the farmers will have late season ones, but mine are almost gone. Sigh.
