We make "loaded" baked potatoes all the time in the winter. We actually bake them in the oven. That warms up the house, makes things smell great, and provides a satisfying meal that is super easy to make.

when i lived in TX there was a place that sold all sort of barbeque but they also sold fully loaded baked potatoes.with shredded brisket on top..man those were good! .,..i'd always take the meat off the top and when i'd eaten most of the potato i'd go to the salad bar and get shredded lettuce and onions and a side of sauce and make a special brisket salad potato! gawd i haven't had one that good since i left and i can't remember the name of the place that sold them...it was sort of a chain.

It might have been Dickey's there were known for their loaded baked potatoes.

no never heard of dickeys.....i keep thinking it was champs but i think that is more like an applebee's type restaurant than a wooden table cafereria type bbq place. i really need to ask my old buddy from back there on FB...she would know cuz she lived almost as close to it as i did and we both worked at the same place for a while;)

Made crab cakes with salad for dinner tonight. Turned out well though I say so myself. The girls, Pol and Pippa, liked them too. Pol managed to drool on my foot she was so eager to get some.

Hey couldn't been any worse than the time that I decided to do a crawfish
boil. I bought live crawfish, I will never do that again in my lifetime. At least
not with four cats in the house.

I went to U R Cooks in Dallas when I was there for a weekend computer conference (I was learning the new computer system for the plasma center as a backup person), the steaks there were out of this world!

Brad is ordering pizza for us tonight, with cheesy sticks. I love those cheesy sticks better than the pizza.

oh no...live crawdads! i don't think i want to ever see those again! like a hundred little lobsters all clippy clippy with their claws! ok, sue, fess up....do you suck the heads? (and folks that is NOT perverted...supposed to be the best part of the mud bug!)
I'll admit the only way i'll eat crawfish is if its already out of the shell and shredded up...sort of like how they do it for lobster salad. and then it has to be very lightly seasoned!

don't know what is for dinner tonight...but they had samples all over the place at the grocery store's 'grand reopening' this afternoon so i had a lot of little nibbles of things. i HOPE they have the same thing tomorrow cuz they had Broars Head hot dogs today with kraut and i was one person short of getting the last one.(though I SAW one sitting there out of the heating pot....don't know who they were saving it for! but the last two idiot woman who got them were complaining that there wasn't enough mustard left in the bottles....i wanted to scream at their brainless heads "they were FREAKIN FREE! you should be thankful you got a BUN!" esh...they were probably only there to get the freebies....the place where joe used to work always had samples around and there were people who went in there every day to eat..i'm sure those folks migrated a few blocks over to this store to see what they'd get!)

Jeane, no heads and all you perverts give it a rest. Still the tail and claw meat are excellent.
Poor man's lobster. See I can do the tails and even take out of the shell. Still i can understand
where you are coming from Jeane.

You know Whole Foods has samples on weekend and you can graze your way through the store.
I still see the same type of behavior that you are talking about. What the Hades, I see it here.

Anyway dinner tonight was chicken piccata. I don't think this will ever be a restuarent quality
dish but I'll still keep making it. The recipe serves four so I have several meals in the freezer.

hey if you like it who cares if its fit for a restaurant or not?
I have french toast (they make it really thick here so three pieces is more than enough) and a few pieces of (cold) bacon.

Either that or stock up on antacids or maalox to counteract the grease before you ingest it.

Not sure about tonights dinner: I want something but can't put a name to it.
