that greasy breaded chicken on a roll with cheese...i couldn't eat anything but the cheese...part of that is because since i got home i've started to feel kinda extra ick. (i'm off tomorrow so i hope to be able to rest up and get rid of all the crap that's been brewing in my for a week!)

i'm back to eating apples again...that lump is back big time on my stomach and i'm going to try to get away from bread,pasta...i don't know..i'm starting to think i might have a mild version(?) of that problem some people have with gluten. either that or gall bladder..i don't know..i just know that earlier this year when i was making sure i got at least 5 veg/fruit a day and stopped all greasy and most bread stuff i was feeling a LOT better and my stomach wasn't messedup like it is now.

No steak and baked potato tonight. BBQ chicken, I had some cooked chicken left from a recipe.
Anyway I froze it and now it's BBQ chicken with mashed potatoes and sauteed leeks. Red wine and a
chocolate thing from Whole Foods.

oh man..a good piece of bbq chicken ....a nice bbq chickien leg? gawd that would be heaven! (last night it was a burrito...which woudln't have been bad except it was frozen and only the ends were even warm.the middle 3/4was stick frozen and icy!!!)
Tonight? i don't even know if there wil be anyting coming down for me...the daughter and son in law were here and when they come i usually don't get anything to eat.....don't know if i even have a tv dinner or entre in the freezer anymore!

Actually it was a breast piece. I don't add anything to my BBQ sauces, no nasty hot sauce
etc. Jeane, I do a a great fried chicken.

real fried chicken....ooo.... we had a perfect pan that was passed down from a great great aunt but its gone. i had a lady down when i lived in TX who tried to teach me but i never had the right skillet to fry it in. i know one big secret is to have realllllly hot oil and to fry it quick and it doesn't get oily;)

The other secret is let is soak in buttermilk for at least an hour then dredge it
in flour, salt, pepper and a little peprika. Use peanut oil for frying. While an iron
skillet is the best you can do it in an electric skillet.

I went out with two friends last nite (Nov 11) to Applebee's for their Veteran's Day special - I'm an Air Force vet, one of my friends is Navy - had the bacon cheeseburger - would you believe it was tasty, cooked to perfection, and hot (temp, not spicy). I haven't had one in a while, and I really enjoyed it! By the way, a very happy Veteran's Day to all who have served our country in so many ways over the years.

not sure what I'll have tonight. The pizza place I usually go to on Mondays has changed owners, and I don't like the way they make the pizza now and I'm not crazy about the new owners or their attitude. Luckily there are several more pizza places in the neighborhood.
Last night I had cheeze wontons, which I discovered recently and which are very good

I met a friend for dinner last night. we went to a diner in an old fashioned 50's ice cream parlor lunceonetter, with the original counter and seats and tiled floor.
I had shell steak, mashed potatoes and spinach, enough left over for another meal ., and pumpkin ice cream which was delicious. They make the ice cream themselves. the flavor was subtle, better than Baskin Robbins pumpkin ice cream.

I'm totally full from the popeyes fried chicken I had for lunch so don't know what I'll have tonight.

I love Popeye's chicken! Unfortunately our local Popeye's fell victim to the lousy economy earlier this year. We had Arby's roast beef sandwiches for dinner tonight.

I love Arby's roast beef sandwiches too but we don't have any near here.

last night since I got home so late I just had some cheese doodles for dinner.

not sure what I'll have tonight. I'll decide on the way home as I have a few options. Not really hungry now

didn't get a break of any kind at work today and got home starving...ate some ice cream (yeah, like that's really healthy). got that nasty pizza for dinner and really regret eating it....would have made cheese toast but the bread's gone moldy...esh. i HATE when i don't get to eat until i get home cuz there's never anything here to eat fast. i've got to stock up on those $1 tv dinners again.

Dang, Jeane I really wish I could beam you to Texas. I made a stuffed pork roast with
raspberry/apple hard cider, cranberry reduction. Mixed veggies. A chocolate something for
dessert and some cheese for maybe later.
