"G" that would be so grand. While hounds are not by type of dog I do
appreciate them. I mean I hunted behind them for years.

That would definitely be a good opportunity to show off Artie. Who knows, maybe he would get adopted at a coonhound adoption fair.

oh i love the idea about the special coon hound adoption day! ya know i never thought of it, but it might be a cool thing for a lot of places who do those adoption fairs to have specific breed adoptions. that way someone who might be looking for only a certain type of dog cuz its the one they really love and want can go and know there will be the type of pooches they're looking for:)

Good luck getting Artie to the "Coonhound Fair" next weekend; maybe he'll meet his match. Whatever happens, my fingers are crossed for him.

I sure hope you can take Artie to that special adoption event. You can see for yourself what sort of houndy dog he is, and he might find his forever family there.

Collars are always welcome at a rescue. Like a Star @ heaven Smile They can either be used by that particular rescue or maybe the rescue knows of some way of distributing them Smile

There was a special adoption event just for hound dogs today at the Wag n Wash. No adoptions, but Artie had a great time and made a new friend.

Ideally, hounds should to go to a hound-savvy family to be hound-happy in the long run, but I'm so glad Artie got the chance to be with people and hug a kid! Keeping him socialised and hopeful is just as important right now. Wouldn't it be wonderful if that kid's family thought it over and came back for him in a few weeks? It's been known to happen. Even if it doesn't, I hope y'all will keep sending him to events. It may happen yet.

The boy in the pic is the son of the woman who runs the hound rescue. Needless to say, they already have their own "pack" of hounds--plenty of fosters. The boy is a very neat kid and took good care of Artie the whole day.

I have a feeling Artie won't have to wait long for the perfect home. With his personality who could resist?

Petfair today. Artie was adopted by a young man who is a ranch forman on 130 acres. Artie has 2 doggie siblings, and all the volunteers say the man was the perfect match for the little houndie boy. We miss him, but we're happy for him.

I've been almost afraid to look at this picture because Artie's face is so like my dear old Daisy's. It tore at my heart. But knowing tonight that he's found his perfect forever home makes me cry and laugh with joy!! Live well, Artie! Thank you, gbste!!!

I am so happy for Artie! Doing the Happy Dance! He couldn't have found a better home, sounds like houndy heaven to me. Lots of room to run around and explore, buddies to play with, and a guy who thinks the world of him. Very Happy

In the first pic, Artie's eyes are full of longing. In the new one they are full of cautious hope. I'm so happy for him! Thanks for the new pic, gbste, and if you ever get any more, or updates, please let us know. Very Happy
