did you look in Lion Brand Yarn? i think they have free patterns in there.
i remember making a knit coat for Beauy way back when.....i put it on him and never saw it again.

I'm off tomorrow so i'll be making some more pumpkins. I have another halloween secret person to make for and am going to try to make one for each of her pugs.

I did look there, and in a lot of other places. None of them covers her bare lil tummy like they should. So I took a pattern off a coat she has that fits, and am now trying to figure out do I make it in one piece or several? My sis wants a crocheted coat but claims "I don't have time" to do it herself. Plus, she's not very good on drafting patterns from scratch like I am. I have a feeling I'll have to improvise and write it down as I go, in case Maggie needs another one in the future.

too bad you can't do what i did once for salem....when he was licking his belly raw i cut a sleeve off a tee shirt and put it on him (didn't last too long though). don't know how big she is, but bet you could make something really warm out of a sweatshirt. if you were here i'd have a couple to give ya to test on! too bad postage is so high:(
i made 4 little pumpkins and have about 1/3 of a blanket made today. watched some movies and crocheted during the movies!

Maggie really needs me to get going on that sweater to keep her warm. Her morning walk is very frosty now, and she's shivering by the time she gets home. And her morning walk isn't a long one either. Lil yorkies just don't have enough hair or fat to keep them warm. My problem is she's between sizes: she's too big for a small, too small for a medium.

I've tried that but so far the gauge still isn't quite right............so I end up ripping it apart again.

I'm making an insulated window cover for the bedroom window out of bubblewrap. Lets the light in but helps keep the cold out.

foam pumpkins sound cool...are they styrofoam or more of the squishy type foam?
last night i made a pot holder/hot pad to put in my box and a pumpkin that i put one of those little flameless battery operated candles inside.

don't know if I mentioned that one of the hostessess at the diner I eat at has requested me to make her some bead embroidered earings. I've been assembling the beads and want to start on it this weekend.

Cool! I hope she likes them.

The insulated window thingy I made is working well, in fact the glass of the window is warmer than the wall it's set into! Shows there isn't much insulation in the wall itself.

You were distracted by other things like work and getting a computer that works. Very understandable and I think you got a lot done!

Working on getting some wood cut for shelving for the garage.............I need to borrow a circular saw to do it.

lk when you finish yoy neeed to take a pic of the earrings so we can see them! i've tried to figure out how to embroider with beads but i think i was doing something wrong.

i'm almost done with the blanket i've been working on and i think after this i'm going to start on a heavy bed sized blanket for marta's daughters.....i still have yarn she bought for me 'just because' years ago and those girls live in a part of the house that doesn't have heating vent so its cold up there!

well, only do a few people at work (and those are always homemade and come out to only be a few $ each)and the pug pal secret santa. a few others here and there but that's it. folks upstairs don't even cook anything special for any of the holidays anymore.

i haven't done anything on the blanket i'm making cuz i get home so late and then get on here and do what little i have to and get off to go to bed. i don't know when i have a day off this coming week but i hope to get most of the one of the blankets done by the end of the week. week after that is thanksgiving and i don't know what days i'll have off at all. we're even open on THanksgiving night this year. its just getting sadder and sadder.

To be open late on a holiday they must be desperate to raise their bottom line for profits. Are sales somewhat slow yet?
