Wow!  You got it worse than we did!  No hail here.....but winds, torrential rain, lightening strikes all over, yes.  We have flooding here and there too.  I'm surprised the dead trees in my part of the yard didn't go.....

I hope everyone here in the South or on the coast is okay....I heard this morning that you're getting hammered bigtime by floods from all the rain.

There was severe weather that came through and tens of thousands are without power. Multiple watches and warnings. Winds have been reported to reach 80 mph at some areas. I don't know how many tornadoes were formed. We are fine. Power went in and out several times, but for short periods of time. We didn't lose power. If I remember right, one section of interstate was closed due localized flooding.

We had one hell of a blow today. No damage here, but reports of 65 tornado touchdowns in the Illinois path of the storms. The Bears game was delayed and all the fans at the game were made to take shelter for a couple of hours.

My brother-in-law in Chicago sent us some pictures of a town that was badly torn up. Stay safe everyone!

Haven't heard from her. I'm sure she will check in soon. Sometimes she
misses on Monday's.

I think Fif's area was spared the brunt of the storm. The worst of it was south and west of me and I'm south of Fiffur.

We did get mostly spared: we got lots of wind and rain but thankfully no tornadoes or hail. Rockford got hail damage though.....and we both have large tree limbs down all over the place. I didn't get much sleep Sunday night: part of my brain stayed away just waiting for that dead tree to come crashing through my ceiling. The creaking from it was more than a little ominous.

I was shocked about the rest of IL though.....the towns that are mostly wiped off the map. Even our local fire department sent truckloads of water for those towns so they have clean water to drink.

We are under a winter weather advisory. It could get ugly. The Rodent Patrol and the
Away Groups are fed and Antonio and I are snugging in.

Are you okay? We're under the same advisory and already got a couple hours worth of snow--not much accumulation but blowing all over the place.

While cold and blustery we didn't catch what weathermen said we would.
It's still grey and dreary. Along with a biting cold, I can't stay warm. I'm fine
when the heat is running but the second it kicks off I'm freezing again.

The front we had is moving out and heading east. So we should be getting some sunshine
and slightly warmer temps.

Oh no! My Thanksgiving always starts with the parade. I hope the wind comes and goes before then. Frigid is bad enough.

the parade is supposed to go on, rain, shine or winds. the only iffy thing is the balloons, whether they will fly, be tethered close to the ground or left out altogether. This is because of the unfortunate accident in 1998 (I can't believe its been that long!) when a balloon, buffeted by the wind , hit a lamppost, which crashed on top of a spectator and killed her

Oh yeah. I remember that. The winds are no joke here. High gusts. Everyone is fine, and, remarkably, the power is on. Everyone stay safe for the holiday! There's supposed to be ice in lots of places.

I'm fine and I don't know how much snow we got during the night. Last I heard was that part of the state I live in is under a winter storm warning. There is more snow coming today. First round was last night. The second round is today.
