A middle school about 20 miles on one side of me was destroyed and a bunch of houses wiped out. A town about 20 miles on the other side of me got the same treatment. We somehow escaped damage. I saw 3 trees down as I was driving home during the devastation. I can't believe it. I saw no hint that the storms were that bad. All at our place are well and happy. (Thank GOD)

For the help of people with bad memories (ME), would it be too much to ask if everyone here at least puts down a hint to their location? You don't have to name towns if you'd rather not - just a "Northern IL" or something like that, but when I was posting the note about Suzzzz, I realized that I don't remember where some of us live.

Good to hear from you, Becky, and to know you and yours are safe! The tragedies here are terrible, and the near misses just give me the all over willies.

I agree with Bobcat, ya'll PLEASE check in, and please give us an idea where you are. I'm worried about Susan and Fisshy, and I also can't keep in my head where everyone is so I'm also worried about everybody.

Yikes! That was a terribly scary system. We're just east of Columbia, SC - right in the center of the state. There was lots of rough weather nearby, but we got only some hard rain for a minute and very dark and blustery skies. My parents and relatives in the Raleigh, NC area are fine, thank the maker!

Well... GEEZ! How rude of me. Of course everybody remembers my location. Am I not the center of the universe? Razz

We're right on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay in VA -- Mathews County.

And we're all supposed to get more nasty weather tonight, tomorrow, and on Friday. Watch out Becky, it's headed your way too. High winds and rain tomorrow for us, we already had sleet this morning here.

A daycare only 5 miles from here had the roof torn off by the wind yesterday during the storm. 50mph winds were recorded there, so no wonder the roof went about 2 miles down the road. Shocked More coming too on Friday..............the creek is full to the top now, threatening to overflow the park along it's banks.

Anybody know where I can buy a few tickets on an ark? From the looks of the creek, we'll be needing them pretty soon.

They have posted every alert known to mankind. I've got Antonio's
crate ready in the hallway. The weather has just been evil. When I feed
tonight I'll feed all wet food.

Did any of the Carolineans have problems> Thoses storms down south were awful They're not sure how many tonaoes there were. over 60 is one estimate., or a h*** of a big one.
There was even a tornado watch yesterday for part of NY NJ. but the weather wasn;t as bad as predictedm though when i went out for lunch there were some ferocious winds

I'm ok down here near Savannah. We've had lots of rain and wind, but no tornadoes.
I have been thinking of Carolina, too. Hope all our Mutties and their family and friends are ok.

Report from Brother in Chattanooga and sister in Greensboro, NC say that things are ok all things considered. Chattanooga got hammered, but nothing like Alabama. Do we have Mutties there? Anyone know? If there is anyone in the Tuscaloosa area, they won't be getting online any time soon. Crying or Very sad

Most of Wesley's family is in Alabama, and one sister's rented home was destroyed, he found out today. Thankfully, everyone else fared much better.

but I got soaked coming back from the store. Sad

there's flooding and severe thunder storm warnings and watches up here until most of Weds. so just in case i don't show up in here for a day or two its probably cuz we lost access. something like a thunder storm can knock the internet for a loop here.

we had a tstorm about 4 this morning and the rain was torrential.
Supposed to be lost of rain todayy. Its been raining most of the day, and they are issuing flood warnings here too also for the highways bordering rivers, like the Hutchinson and Bronx rivers, and the belt parkway, especially along Manhattan beach which is already eroded.

We had several small tornadoes come through my area last night. Closest one is unconfirmed, but the firemen in Roscoe said it was a tornado. That's about 5 miles from me. We're okay, but several large trees aren't.
