Amen to that!

I am thankful my sis' surgery went so smoothly all things considered, she's healing fast, and home rehab is going well so far.

If somehow I can't get enough dirt all at once to remedy the perc problem with the lot, the realtor selling the lot will refund my earnest money deposit on it.

That IS great news. I am grateful for sun so we are drying out. I will even not complain about the heat tomorrow.

I'm thankful that Community Brewery listened carefully to my proposal and are doing further research.

I'm thankful they haven't cut off HUD yet in this godforsaken state. They've cut me off from everything else without cause.

I am thankful for Youtube and the people who upload full movies. I am also thankful to my sister who lets me use her Ipad to watch them.

I have seen movies I never would got to see such as Song of the South, Rock and Rule and a 1974 anime Jack and the Beanstalk.

I didn't think Disney let Song of the South out of it's vaults in it's entirety. Even at the time it was released it was considered racists.

That I survived brunch. We did 25 a normal service is 15 to 20. It was wild but the two woman who were working with me were fantastic.

Song of the South has never fully been released on VHS or DVD. I don't know how the person who uploaded even got the whole movie.

I don't understand what is so bad about the movie. There are other movies including Disney ones that have much worse stereotypes than black servants!

I vaguely remember it from the theaters Part of it is the tar baby sequence. I remember seeing a NYT review of it posted somewhere. The review was done when the movie was released. As to how they uploading I don't know. Disney is ruthless about their copyright.

I remember the Uncle Remus books being taken out of the library. I think I have the copy of the illustrated book from my grandmother. I did see the movie at some point (probably in the 70s), but I don't really remember it. I do remember the stories though.

My mom remembers them but I've never seen any of it.

I'm thankful I found a really tasty way to use all this zucchini I'm being inundated with these days. I make pudding out of it. Seriously. Just peel, cook, puree, and use it to replace at least half the milk needed for instant pudding. Firms up quite nicely (pie anyone?) and you can't taste the zucchini at all. Makes the pudding healthier for you. My doc was a bit impressed and my mom said it was really good. So far I've had chocolate, butterscotch, and made vanilla taste like cinnamon roll by adding a bit of brown sugar cinnamon and caramel sugar free torani to it.

That my garden itself hasn't been damaged yet. Only the anti-critter spinners which have been working. If only they'd keep the human critters out too.

I hung tinfoil strips on strings one year. Those seemed to work pretty well as critter scarers. The disposable pie pans work great too. They're cheap to replace if the bums get back in your garden.

If I used those I'd catch flak from the office. I caught flak for two big plant pots that aren't even mine. Made sure to tell them whose they were when I found out myself.

Thankful I haven't killed anyone here yet....starting with the manager. He may be able to read but not comprehend...he just isn't suited to the job. He was much better at the one he had before this (he switched for the money and all the paid time off).

Thankful for the breeze that's keeping things from feeling like August. Beautiful beach weather, which is always a reason to say thank you.

Well, I'm thankful I don't have to drag the hose out to water the garden. It's being swamped with drenching rain as I type this. In addition, all the cars in the parking lot are being washed squeaky clean with no effort from anyone!

Thankful the hemangioma is small enough to excise without leaving a big hole in my throat. In fact the doc said it would be easy to remove.

How do I tell my niece and nephew about what else they found in yesterdays' test?
