Tell me about it... I'll be thankful if my electric bill isn't over $100 this month (I turned the heat on so I can pack without frozen fingers--but only to 50°). My neighbors bills average $170-200 a month at 68°. This building must have NO insulation in it.

I'm very thankful that my mom hasn't offed herself yet from all the stress the government jerking her chain has caused.

My help is in the form of: furkid cuddles (Bijoux, Maggie, Buddy, anyone else I come across), friends here, and the fact that Bij needs us both. Good thing I'm better versed in finding stuff online: found the reason they stopped paying her premiums, got an application for Round Two of that program, and one for foodstamps too. That seemed to help her mood a lot compared to a few days ago.

I'm thankful I didn't get badly hurt when I tripped and fell over cards my mom had spent hours sorting out by type. She was mad they were all messed up....it didn't occur to her we might've been on our way to the ER to get me stitched up, my glasses broken, or my neck! She was a bit sheepish this morning, couldn't look me in the eye for a while.
I have a skinned elbow and knee, sore on the other knee. Thankfully didn't bleed on my clothes either.

I could've hit my head on the stove, the stepstool, the shredder, the concrete covered with linoleum floor....or snapped my arm or neck since I ended up face first on the floor.

I'm thankful my spiced pumpkin loaf (we're calling it pumpkin bread) was a big hit! Came out beautifully first time I tried the recipe despite a few changes I had to make.

Thankful that the plow guy didn't leave a 5-7' mountain of snow at my workspace. We'll see if that's still true Wednesday morning.......they're predicting another 3-6" or so.
