Thankful that the catnip plant has made it another week and that our a/c is still working here.
I think we will break the record for the hottest summer on record.

We're also in the running for hottest summer................we've broke a lot of records this year.

I'm thankful the horrible migraine I had Saturday is finally gone!

Glad your migraine is gone. Glad that that I've been able to keep the water station for the
animals. Today I saw birds drinking from the bowl.

yeah this is one hot summer....i didn't remember to go look at the thermometer when i got home but the tv was saying it was 96 around 6:30. so it had to be very close to 100 when i was walking and probably at least that on the turnpike.
so i guess i'm thankful i made it home today in the heat! i guess i need to start bringing my cooling dog neck thing every day to work.

On days like that Jeane I also use an umbrella as portable shade. Looks strange but it works!

nothing strange about using an umbrella. Umbra means shadow or shade, and that's what they are used for. Parasol, is deflecting the sun

I think I'd wait on the book and carry the umbrella. You won't be reading much if you pass out from the heat on the way home.

lk they used to have fun and cool stuff (incense, black light posters, star trek stuff!) but now its so r rated it night as well have a sign in the front 'you must be at least 18 to enter' out front!i swear the last time i walked into one i saw more boobs and penises (peni??)than when i used to walk through Times Square in the good ol days! (and at least in Times Square they used to put those sticky dots as 'pasties' on the pictures!)

i'm thankful i made it to the PA in time to catch the next to last bus home and that i was able to work all day and walk home and still be in one piece. but man, i don't think i'll be fully recovered until i get a day off mid next week!

Another week and the catnip plant has not been mauled. And that I didn't not slap a couple of
people silly but snatch them bald. See previous post in crisis.

naw the stuff at Spencers isn't that interesting.....if i wanted to see that stuff i would go into one of those little hole in the wall NYC stores;)well.....maybe the rings. sometimes they have interesting rings IF you can get around the ones with the weed designs!

i'm thankful Sue's nip is still thriving and that i made it through another day of work. everyone is jumpy and on edge and hours are getting cut....its just stupid and unorganized. later in the month a chunk of the store is also getting remodelled so that will be interesting!(there's an all store meeting tomorrow and i think part of it will be about the remodel).

Keep us posted Jeane. When I was posting to not only this thread but the crisis I forgot
this small blessing. When I was at Kroger I bought tinned cat food for the wild bunch. Someone had
left a coupon for a $1.00 a bag of Whiska cat food. I hadn't planned on buying kibble but with the coupon
I went for it. The bag was priced at $4.22 but with the coupon it made $3.22 + plus tax. What I like about a
coupon like that it actually saves you more than a dollar. You only pay tax on the amount you pay for the product.

The other thing Jeane, is that I still have two Whiska coupons. One for a $1.00 off a bag but
a coupon for buy one get one free. That helps so much.

i'll keep an eye out for any coupons here. do you need special ones or any general dry kitty food coupons? i really only use a couple brands and the girl at work brings me anything she gets in her paper so i can start an envelope for ya. what kinda litter does Ant like?

i'm thankful that the friskies canned food is on sale for a couple months solid....i can pick up 4-6 cans every day i work and get my stock up for the winter i HOPE!(I also have a few coupons i'll use later before they expire but i need extra money and my rolling backpack for those).

The wild bunch eats anything. Right now I'm feeding them nine lives tinned, it's 5 for $2.00.
plus tax. I'm trying to get Tonio to eat the grain frees but I'm not having much luck. As to cat litter
I stocked up last winter and I'm still good. I use World's Best, it's corn based not clay and doesn't have
perfumed scent.

i'm wondering if anyone in here uses....oh gawd i can't remember the name. its made from paper....litter made into sort of paper pellets. i found 2 $1 coupons today and would pass them on if anybody here needed them.
i'll start gathering up the purina and nine lives dry coupons i get for ya,sue. the rescue kitties can't eat any of the regular purina because it all has fish and they don't sell the nine lives dry where i can shop.
