So will I.............Verrazano is a very lucky kitten. Lucky because: he didn't go over the side, the trucker stopped traffic, the animal guy was there to get him, and he's healthy despite his rough start. I'm very thankful he's alive and well. I wonder about his littermates though, what happened to them?

I hope they not only catch the waste-of-skin who threw Verrazano out that window, I hope they throw that guy over the edge of that same bridge!

I'm also thankful and relieved that my unemployment situation is finally straightened out! Now I won't have to cringe when I open the mailbox starting next week.

well, Verrezano was originally described as a little black kitty though he's a Russian Blue. You can see that bridge from where I live.
I know there was another little black kitty who was also thrown out of a car before Verrrazano. It was on Long Island. That kitty is named Beetle and he is also adorable. He had some injuries (broken legs and a hernia , but he is recovering.

it was the other kitty i meant...he wasn't on the bridge i guess...i just know he was thrown from a car and the little picture on the Animal Rescue Site is a black kitty with a cast on his leg. i get emails from NSAL about different animals who they have that have been injured and ,though i used to open them,i don't open them now cuz most are just too upsetting.i like reading the emagazine they send every couple months though!

hmm..today i'm thankful that i wasn't out snipping nip when the storm hit;)

I'm thankful I don't have to cook supper tonight, it's too hot to cook. He's ordering pizza. And a nice older lady I've been helping on the computer at the library is going to bring me some fresh picked raspberries tonight.

thankful that the store is discontinuing wintergreen 'lozenges' (aka Canada Mints). 75cents for a big old bag so i got a couple bags to take to work....better than peach flavored tictacs!

so how was it,LK?

i'm thankful for the can of salmon i bought yesterday....mixed it with the mirapoix and am having part of it for dinner. i just couldn't face the massive bowl of pasta with nothing but oil and cheese on it. (and thankful that since i stopped eating all that pasta and mostly cut my starch intake to a couple slices of bread and some cereal that a lot of the mystery bloat (or whatever it was) has gone away!I feel a lot better eating more veg and fruit and less pasta stuff!)

It was alot of fun. a very leisurely stroll, even though it was hot. some cool shady spots to releive the heat, beautiful flowers and some great views of the Hudson River. Interesting art installations including my favorite, a series of bird houses, bird feeders and butterfly houses. check it out on you tube

VERY thankful it's cooler outside today! I can get my apartment cooled off before we go back into the brutal roasting temps of next week.

clouds rolled in today with no pouring rain and when they dissipated the temps went down.
i'm thankful i got a ride home today that let me stop at the grocery store.....i was able to get some heavy things (litter, aloe juice)and a larger litter box. (somebody is pooping outside the box under nobe's table and i'm hoping a larger box will help...also i guess i'll keep three boxes going instead of two and see if that helps. means more litter to haul home but it want to try things out.).

When I was puttering I moved a dresser to clean behind it. There was FISSHYY and the ROTUND SCMOUSE from Jeane.
I was especially happy to find FISSSHYY, it was the toy you made especially for Boo. The lavender SCHMOUSE was under a
chair.

I think I would've asked to speak to a manager, and ask them to remove those charges since you didn't know they were going to do that. Some banks will be nice and give it back to you.
