Mockingbird, if you are on Facebook there is a page you might want to check into.
It's call Paws and Prayer Circle. I recommend the page to anyone who is interested.

Mockingbird. I'm sorry but I got the name of the page mixed up.
It's Paw Circle and Prayers. Hopefully you will be able to find it. It is
a wonderful site.

The ratties seem to be doing fine. Joshua is going back and forth on getting another rat. I think I'd rather not. As much as I love them, it really makes it hard when they die and they only live a few years. I don't know...

Little Ghost seems to be doing fine, as are the other two girlies. She was the one we were most worried about. Raya and Sweetie are keeping her good company. Her personality is more like Slumber's, though, so that's why Joshua thought she might like to have a more mellow rattie around. He would have to choose her, if we did, because the two I chose a more active and high-strung.

The week before last, Slumber's vet sent us a sympathy card. The entire clinic signed it for us. It was lovely. You know, she never charged us a penny for Slumber's last care. This lady is definitely in the absolute right field. We took the other ratties in to see her last week, just to make sure they were ok. We brought cards and flowers for her and the vet tech who helped us that day. I don't know if I already told y'all about that. It seems like I did! Well, anyway, they hugged us and almost cried again.

The ratties have checked out fine. It was a lot different taking them in than poor little Slumber. She was just gentle and quiet. These three were like a barrel of monkeys!

So, for now, we're doing fine and I guess we're all getting used to the new Rattyton.

The really great vets send sympathy cards because they understand how we feel, they feel the same way. I'm sure your vet misses Slumber too.
