I loved When Things Were Rotten. Didn't that have Dick Gautier in it? I think he played a robot in Get Smart (another great Mel Brooks series). Mind you I also remember a series (Not Brooks) called 'The Adventures of Hiram Holliday'. No idea what it was about though. Embarassed

yep Dick Gautier was in when things were rotten. i think he was the lead...or one of the main characters. (was he robin hood? i want to think so but as i said elsewhere, my memory is shoddy in places).
i went and looked up that other show..it was before my time (well, just a bit) but it had to be funny cuz it had Wally Cox in it! here's the link to where i found it.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Hiram_Holliday

I started watching the animated show MAD a few months ago and got hooked on it and have since seen every episode. The episodes are less than 15 mintues long and it is on Cartoon Network. It is a sketch parody show...but you might have guessed that from the title. It is a clever and funny show but sometimes the jokes fall flat.

i've caught mad a few times...isn't it on the same night as Adventure Time (and this other show that has a blue jay and something that looks like a ferret?) mad really brings out the old school style of the magazine:)

New episodes of MAD are on Mondays at 8:30 or sometimes 8:45.

They started showing some episodes of Bewitched over her again. I still have the hots for Elizabeth Montgomery. Whooo. Wouldn't even mind Endora as a mother in law. Agnes Moorhead was terrific.

just to clue everyone i..this coming Tues (11/29?) Rudolph will be on cbs at 8:00pm est. there were some craptastic hallmark christmas cartoons on last night...yoyo and hoops(not to bad but didn't really go anywhere) and the elf on the shelf (the stupid 'elf' didn't even LOOK like the one with the book...that one looks like ones my grandma had when i was little...and we had because one year they came on bottles of dish soap!)i turned that off after like 5 minutes.
THen later (around 9:00) one of my fave recent ones...Olive the Other Reindeer was on. I love that one...Matt Groening (Greoning? oh well, the dude who created the simpsons!) drawn in his more original style with really cool folks doing the voices. I love Drew Barrymore as Olive, the guy from some old lawyer show as her flea pet, Jay Mohr as her 'owner' and Joey Pants (Pantaliono..can't spell it!) are her penquin sidekick.
AND the song that i carry in my head so often this time of year... Christmas...Bah! Bug and Hum!

The Hub started playing Animaniacs last year and they recently started playing another of my childhood favs Tiny Toon Adventures. It is still a clever and funny show even after all these years. They don't make cartoons like that anymore!

I see that Extant and Under the Dome are coming back soon. The rest of my favorite shows are now on summer hiatus.

Well all my favorite shows are hiatus. Can't wait for the new season of Grimm. I know my favorite CBS shows will be back but I think it will be last season for some of them.
