You'd be surprised how spring-loaded those lil terrier legs can be! For their size they can leap over double their height.......my Nicki Sue could and she had a body shaped like a brick. But she could still jump amazingly high for her shape and size.

Just finished watching 2nd series of Warehouse 13. I really love that show. Starting 'A Town Called Eureka' from series one again. I missed quite a few episodes when I changed my service provider a few years back so I have a lot to catch upon.

favorite tv shows

Post by fluffnstuff on Fri Sep 16, 2011 12:34 pm

I had been thinking about having a thread for tv shows since there is a thread for movies. I was thinking that this could be tv shows that we remember watching as kids. But then, I'm sure some may talk about shows that are currently on tv.

The tv shows I remember watching are as follows:
Dukes of Hazzards(sp)
Knight Rider
Full House
Star Trek Next Generation

There may be more that may come to mind later.

I'm the next generation back, so my faves are older.

Mary Tyler Moore
Dick van Dyke Show
The Bob Newhart Show (before he went to Vermont)

There's also a ton of silly ones:
Andy Griffith
Mr. Ed
My Favorite Martian
Gilligan's Island
Green Acres
Beverly Hillbillies
I could go on and on.....

And later:
Taxi
Barney Miller
Cheers
Friends
Frasier
Soap
I could go on and on here, too!

Suzzzz, now that you get MeTV, have you noticed that these three shows are on in that very sequence every weekday evening? I believe they're followed by The Odd Couple - another fun program from way long ago!

gawd i can't even think of all the shows i've loved over the years....the tv was my best (most likeyly ONLY) friend growing up.
i will admit watching M*A*S*H before i was old enough to know what was going on.
as a little little kid i loved HR Pufnstuf and the really badly drawn Beatles cartoon (i believe the guy who plays Onslo in Keeping up Appearances might have done the voice of one of the guys in that show).

Of course I know it, Bobcat! Why do you think those 3 came to mind so easily? I adore MeTV. The Odd Couple! Another great.

Jeane, I remember that Beatles cartoon. I watched it sometimes in horrified fascination. If you want to watch a Beatles cartoon, rent the real thing (A Hard Day's Night and Help).

Oddly enough I loved the Twilight Zone even though at the time it was well over my
head. Have Gun Will Travel was another favorite. Later I really enjoyed Night Gallery some of
the material wasn't that great but the art work was over the top creepy.

Hey what about Yellow Submarine. HA!!! I bet I've got that song stuck in everybody's head
now. devilish

welp sue, yellow submarine is probably closer to the old crappily drawn Beatles cartoon cuz (unless the guys were shown as their..lets say photographic?..selves the voices were done by someone else!) I dearly LOVE Help and AHDN! They used to show them once a year on the late show on Sat night...back to back. sometimes with Yellow Sub at the end if you could stay awake long enough.

I remember having to wave goodnight to the Clampetts before i'd go to sleep when i was really little. (also remember when they would have kelloggs ads in the middle of the show with Granny and Jethro and his mixing bowl full of corn flakes!)

The Munsters and The Addams Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and (the spin off) Rhoda(who can ever forget the voice of Carlton the doorman). The Hogan Family used to be good even when they killed Valerie Hogan off and brought Sandy Duncan into it, changing the name to Valerie's Family and then back to The Hogan Family.
Family Ties, Champion the Wonder Horse, My Friend Flicka, Lassie and The Littlest Hobo.

Anyone remember the short-lived series Automan? It had Desi Arnaz Jr as the computer geek cop who created the hologram Automan. Lasted only one season.

Wow! Never heard of Automan. Had to go look --- it's on Youtube! Cheesy but cool! Desi Jr. looks JUST like Dad!

Jeane, are you saying the voices in Yellow Submarine were done by someone(s) else??? You're destroying my adolescence.

LOVE The Addams Family!!

Felt better about Yellow Submarine after I read the "Beatles Participation" section here (you have to scroll down a bit to read it):

If we're going to talk about favorite TV shows, I'd like to add my very first favorite, Captain Kangaroo.

Okay Suzzzz, here's three more you probably never heard of that didn't last long: Otherworld (8 episodes but I heard Europe got a few more than we saw here), it had potential but they didn't give it enough time IMHO. And Logan's Run the tv series though always being on the run was getting a bit tedious. Then there was When Things Were Rotten (1975)........very cheesy and only 13 episodes.
