I've been tempted to stuff toys with all the hair I get off Bijoux in his comb and brush. I've also actually tried to make felt from his fur, but it's too short of a fiber. It pulls apart too easily. Now if he were longhaired it would be a different story.

Racing to the door when he heard the tape tearing away from the frame, I think he was snuggling with mom since he felt so warm when I picked him up. Got nice hello kisses, and a nice long snuggle session complete with purrs, pats on the arm, and chin rubbing. Such a sweetie, Bijoux was all over me for a long time. I think he knew my throat and jaw were sore, and was trying to make me feel better. When mom started coughing a lot, he went over to give her a few kisses and tried to snuggle with her too. I don't know where he earned his nursing degree from but it worked: I feel better today. I gave him some crunchies without being asked, and I know mom gave him his dinner without having to see a long dragged out performance of the wetfood revue show. I even got lots of nitenite kisses when I asked for them despite his being snuggled on mom again when I went to leave.

Bijoux does keep asking for walker rides, but we try to tell him why he can't go just yet. Hopefully over the weekend they'll be done painting. A short window of opportunity before they start stinking up the hallways with carpet glue.

i did to look at my camera and see if there are any pics still in there...they might be only on my computer.
today i was combing Carter and took one comb full out and tried it as a toupee...nope too small. too much for a moustache....but it would have made a fine kitty beard!

Had to laugh at the kitty beard Jeane! LOL

Bijoux is shedding bigtime, must be that time of year already again. Been saving up the hair from the brush, just to see how much I get in a month. So far the amount is already impressive..............

Got a nice greeting at the door when Bij heard the tape ripping from the frame. Hello kisses and cuddles were more than welcomed by me. I think Bijoux missed me, he was glued to me for quite a while before going back to snuggle with mom, then back to me when she disturbed him. She told me he laid next to her on the couch while she watched tv after I'd left the previous night, and when she woke up a few hours later he was still at her side, head on her shoulder, paw on her arm, fast asleep. I just had to go awwwwwww at the visual that gave me. It must've been soooo cute. She didn't have the heart to wake him so she didn't move and just shut off the tv and went back to sleep. He didn't even bother her in the early morning for breakfast, he ate the crumbs in his bowl without complaint. Must've known mom really needed her sleep badly. She said the bowl was nearly empty when he finally politely asked for new crunchies after she got up. And promptly snuggled with her again when she laid back down for a while. I was so tired from lack of sleep I left extra-early for home. Since the hallways didn't smell like paint we asked him if he wanted to go for a walker ride to see me off. He thought it over but declined. No nitenite kisses for me.

Only until they start putting in the new hallway carpet, then it's hole up in the apartment time again until the glue fumes are gone. But we are taking advantage of the small window of opportunity here so he isn't totally deprived.

Hopefully, it will be cool enough that they can open doors/windows while they're doing the carpet. Fresh air helps.

With our luck it will be super-hot outside so they'll have the windows shut and the AC on. While the AC does get some of the fumes out, it's not as efficient as a stiff breeze blowing through the place. No idea when they start on the rugs, but it will be soon.

Bijoux was right at the door waiting for me when I walked in, looking for love. I think he missed me because I left so early the night before. Got wonderful hello kisses and purrs. Rocked my baby for a while, snuggled and combed him too (more hair for my collection). Gave him some crunchies and went to Brads for a movie. Bij napped on my chair while we were gone. At the door looking for dinner when we got back since we headed for the community room with Brad to use the computer (he wanted to order a book from the library website so I was his fingers) and we were late getting Bij his dinner. He was singing from the moment we walked in the door. Quite a loud Wetfood Revue Show we got! Ate like he was starving, I could hear him slurping and smacking all the way into the livingroom. Barely got a nice thankyou cuddle and it was back to the bowl again. He licked that bowl so clean..........and burped for mom really loud. Thanked me again, and sat on the couch, looking at the couch and blanket, then glance at mom, back to the couch, glance at mom again................obvious what he wanted: mom to lay down on the couch covered in the soft blanket so he could lay on top of her and take his postdinner nap. Had to get my nitenite kiss while he was laying on her, he barely lifted his head so I could.

If only he'd wear one, but he won't. So far no more paint fumes and they haven't started on the rugs with the stinky glue yet either. So he gets walker rides when he wants them for the most part for the time being.

Got nice snuggles in Saturday night before and after our movie at Brads. Nice walker ride too before dinner. Got a very loud Wetfood Revue Show when we got back though. You'd have thought he was starving from the way he acted! Wolfed his dinner down, burped a few times for mom and me, then took his half out of the middle of the couch, and promptly powernapped. Didn't want to disturb his nap so no nitenite kisses.

Sunday he didn't get to see me at all. Just as I was going to go over to mom's my sister showed up and asked if I wanted my bike worked on I had to come right over. Got the gear and brakes fixed, invited to dinner (they went and got mom), then spent some time with my nephew before he leaves for school. By the time we left I had just enough time to take a well-needed shower and go to bed.

Any bets what kind of reception I get from Bijoux today?

Not only did I get bowled over at the door yesterday, but I had a cuddlebug velcrocat glued to my lap the entire time I was there! When I got up to use the bathroom and scoop the pan I told him I'd be right back, mom told him the same thing, so he sat on the footrest of my chair and waited for me. Immediately back in my lap before I could even get comfortable......................... I finally had to go home to bed and he refused to give me a nitenite kiss, thinking I can't leave without one. I tucked him into my warm spot and promised him I'd be back tomorrow. (which is tonight)

Mom said he looked for me at the window, sat at the door and mewed, and back to the window looking for me all of Sunday night when she got back from my sister's house. She gave him his dinner early and he went to the door and window first to look for me, then went to eat, and back to the window again. He finally gave up and cuddled with her for the night.

I have a feeling I'll still have a velcrokitty tonight. He won't be taking me for granted for a while at least.

Still being a major cuddlecat, but not as much as yesterday. He seems a bit more secure that I won't disappear on him anytime soon. He was comfy enough to leave my lap to do some birdwatching, mom bugging, and snacking. Got a wonderful song n dance routine for dinner, which he ate in one sitting (very unusual). He got it early since he was soooooo insistent, and I guess he was really really hungry. No burping, no thankyou cuddles, just straight to the litterpan and then to the cubebed to nap. Had to lay on the floor and stick my nose in to get a nitenite kiss. Shocked

Went in the door at mom's long enough to leave my keys, call out I was going to take a book to Brad, and left. Bijoux apparently was in the window where I couldn't see him, saw me coming over, and was heading for the door when I left. He mewed at the door, went to mom, and mewed at her something fierce. She swore he was swearing at her for not making me stay! Had an instant velcrocat reading me the riot act when I got back. Shocked He did eventually leave me to do some birdwatching, bug mom for treats, and back to me to weight me down so I couldn't leave again. Got a very nice Wetfood Revue Show, and thankyou cuddles afterwards. I even got a nitenite kiss when I asked for it.

Well, she won't be starving anymore if I know you. She won't be missing you like she did when you were gone.

Bijoux was velcrocat again for both of us. My nephew decided to stay one more day so I got some Bij snuggling in before we got called to come over and see him before he goes. About an hour later a huge storm started to blow in so we had to leave. Guess who was right at the door to greet us and give us the 3rd degree sniff? Wink Not only did we see Maggie, Annabelle, and Moxie, but we also ran into Brownie from upstairs on our way out. Of course we had to visit a lil with him too. Bijoux got over his snit about us being with other furkids (he hasn't met Brownie yet) and promptly started begging--er asking--for his dinner early. After tiring himself out trying, he finally fell asleep next to mom with a paw on her arm. Finally got his dinner when he woke up (dinner was late) and wolfed it down. Asked him if he wanted a walker ride to see me off, this time he didn't refuse but we did have to pick him up since he didn't want to jump that high with such a full tummy. Got a nice escort out of the building.
