Hi, everyone. It's Antonio. I had a terrifying experience
today. Meomy put in the crate and told we were going to
the vet. That's what my former people did. I was crying
and begging her not to take me. I didn't mean to make her
anger so she would send me away.

SIGH!!! To my relief it really was the vet. While not fun, they
gave me shots and that made me a little sore. Everybody loved
on me and the Doctor was really nice and said that I was such a handsome
boy. Then we came home. Meomy let me out of the crate and loved on me
told me i was a brave handsome boy. I was so scared that I was being sent away.
Meomy wouldn't do that would she.? I'm still scared.

Well Antonio, I can't see your meomy sending you away unless she was in a situation where she had no choice. Those shots may hurt, but they do serve a purpose. Humans hate getting shots too.

No, Antonio, your new Meomy isn't going to send you away. No how, no way! She took you to the vet to make sure you were okay, and the vet gave you shots so you'll stay healthy and strong. You know all that lovin' they all gave you? That was for real! I know it might take a little time for you to trust all this, but I assure you, all this lovely love is truly true. Auntie Suze doesn't lie to kitties, little one, and neither does your Meomy. You'll see.

Thank you everybody, I feel better now. Meomy was upset
earlier because she couldn't find me. She even got the torch
out and looked under things. I finally came out and gave her
a headbutt and hummed. She hugged me and told me I was
a silly boy.

Thank you Aunt Suzz and everybody else for the words of comfort. Still
it was terrifying for a while.

I'm glad you came out for your Meomy, Antonio. She would have really worried about you. That's what love does... Makes your Meomy worry when she can't find you. Cool

Y'all he was terrified when I crated him.
I felt so bad having to do this so soon after
bringing him home. Still he needed his shots
and Arlington gave me a $10.00 coupon for the
rabies shot. Which Lakewood didn't honor. Still
he is a healthy boy and the shots needed to be
given. Also it gave the vets to check his general
health. Dr. Gesell check his teeth and he is seven.
I need to find out when the Feast Day of San Antonio
of Padua is. That way he can have his birthday in Catober
and then celebrate his name day.

Antonio, I know you were really scared and confused when your meowmy put you in that crate. She really does love and want you, believe that! She had the vet give you those shots to make sure you stay healthy and strong so you can be with her a long long time. Trust the love she gives you, it's genuine..........Bijoux

Thank you Bijoux, I was wondering if there were other
purry people to talk to. I've met the human beans here
but not a purry person. Antonio

Hey Antonio...

I was so scared when I first came to live with the funny hairless creatures that I spent weeks and weeks behind a big glowing box! When the odd hairless things came to get me to take me to a funny smelling place where I was supposed to see a "VET," I got so scared that I just passed out and pooped!

I've leared since then that the funny hairless creatures are actually pretty nice and bring tasty food. They also give such good scritch that I just can't help drooling! It's sooooooo embarrassing Embarassed !

I think your new meomy sounds like she's going to be a keeper!!! Hang in there, dude!

Hey back you Zeke,

WOW, that must have been awful. We have a small glowing box
but it's on a shelf. See the reason I get so frightened is that my
former beans told me I was going to the vet and left me in THAT
PLACE. I don't want to ever go back.

The food here is really good and the water is devine. It comes
from the magic box and it's really cold and tasty. It doesn't taste like
metal because Meowmy puts it in a special bowl.

Great meeting you, Zeke. Schmaybe we can compare hunting
notes.

ya know, antonio, that crate can be left out and open so you can go and sniff it out at any time and not be scared the next time you might have to take a little trip in it. it might be scarey but its safer for a kitty to travel in there than out open in the car;)

I'll try that Jeane, maybe putting his food in it.

I think Antonio would love a crate
blanket. No Jeane, I don't think I know
he would love a crate blanket.

And I love the fleece quilt my Lori made me last Christmas! It's so soft and warm and comfy........Bijoux I'm not scared of the carrier at all, in fact sometimes I even sleep in it since it's in a quiet out of the way place and facing the doorway nothing can sneak up on me from behind.

I've noticed that Antonio hides a lot. His favorite place
is the hall closet. He buries down into Contessa's crate.
It's broken down and has her blankets and other things
in it. I make him get out when I go into the Lair to work
and at night. The door to the hallway also gives access to
the old classroom and then to the outside. I prefer that it
stay closed and locked at night and when I'm not home.
Right now he is on the end of the couch on the SCHMOUSIE
collection.

I wonder if he did too. He will play with them if I dangle them
in front of him or toss them to him. He doesn't seek them out
though he will sleep on them.

Awwwww.......he might have to be taught how to play with toys. We had to do that with our Fiffur, who would sleep next to a toy but didn't know what to do with it otherwise. After we taught him, anything and everything loose on the floor was a toy! Keep dangling and tossing the toys for him to chase, eventually he may play with them on his own. Otherwise, I'd just say he prefers interactive toys to playing alone.
