I imagine it is a sight. I've been wearing a black shirt
over my tee since they are light colored and along with a dark
colored baseball cap.

Just got back from the run, the food and water bowls were
empty. No cat sightings, just one this morning when I was
coming back from my neighbors. A plain brown tabby.

I think the neighborhood kitties are finding the bowls just fine, just coming in the dead of night when it's cooler. As hot as it's been there lately I wouldn't have much of an appetite until it cooled off either. Does that tabby belong to anyone, and they foolishly let it roam the neighborhood?

i don't know, there is a lot of free roaming cats around.
What is really scary is the dog packs.

Speaking of cats, I saw a black cat slip between the Rutledges
and the Lair house around 10 A.M. Slipped underneath the Lair
house.

Arni, it's out of control. I was starting to trap and was told to stop
after I did two. How stupid is that. I'm sneaking out to feed.

You know sometimes I feel like the Midnight Skulker
from B.C.. Saw the brown tabby again tonight
and a gray and white tabby in the alley way.

Just got back from the run. The water bowl still
had water in it but the food bowl was missing.
I don't think wildlife is getting into it because
the bowls would have been destroyed. The bowl
is probably in the bushes.

Somebody probably dragged it into the bushes so they could eat hidden from everyone, maybe the dog packs? I'd be afraid of being attacked by the dogs. No wonder the kitties are so careful with them around.

I can picture you going out like the Midnight Skulker...................hehehehehe.........the Midnight Skulker strikes again!

No it wasn't dog packs. The dogs would have destroyed the
water bowl. It may have blown somewhere. I not going to
look for it.

if it was a light bowl i c ould just have rolled under something. you never know, one day you could be out and just happen upon it.
though i have this picture in my head of the Big Foot of TX picking it up and taking it home to use for a cereal bowl cyclops

You know you may have something there Jeane.

Just got back from the run. The bloody dogs were out
at least they didn't start yapping till I got to the feeding
station. Normally they start when I walk out the back door.
Spotted a young black cat. Didn't have a tipped ear so it
definetly one of the ones I had sprayed. All the food was
gone, the water bowl still had water in it.

Jeane, I'm not throwing those yappy things anything.
With my luck they would choke on it. Spotted the
black kitty sliding across the driveway between the
Lair and the Rutledges. Had to laugh cat slides under
the house an leaves his/her tail sticking out.

though. Dogs started yapping when I was cutting across the
Rutledges backyard. Scared the heck out of me.

You'd think after all that barking they'd get laryngitis...................but no such luck.

Well, you know the kitties are out there, hiding and waiting.

Had to laugh at the visual of a cat tail sticking out from under the house: Haha, they'll never see me under here!

You'd think they'd be used to seeing you out by now and stop barking already! Maybe the kitties are coming out in the cool of the wee hours of the morning, before sunup, and that's why you aren't seeing them?

Possibly. It rained last night, I hope the food was eaten before
it started. The next time i go to Petsmart I will pick up some
wet just for this contingency.
