Part of her problem must be with the taste. I wonder if adding some sort of kitty gravy would help? Or does the doc think mixing it with her usual Purina is enough?

Arnigirl, they are not sure. Right now output iis
good. There was something on the x-ray but
neither Dr.s Gesell or McAnally were sure if that
was pushing on them because of the upper resiportary
problems. She is getting slowig back to normal, today she
napped on the pillow where she can see out the window.

Were the doctors able to do digital x-rays? Sometimes analog ones are very difficult to read. If they did have an analog one, maybe you could go to an associate who has a digital machine? In my part of the country, digital and analog x-rays cost about the same. The digitals are just SO much better. The vets can move them around to see what's what.

This was analog. I think the clinic has access to them, along
with echograms? Boo had a touch of dierra today so I talked to
Dr. McAnally about she wanted to put on some more medication for
it. I wanted to stop the anticiotic We talked about it and I stopped
the Claviinmax. I felt like we were starting to over medicate, because
we were going to be using another medication to counter the side effects
of another one.

I didn't know digital xrays existed! And the price is nearly the same? I think our area here is somewhat backward as we don't have those yet..............

Well so far Boo is napping the cat loaf position on the pillow. Last night
she slept on it next to my head. I can't remember the last time she did
that.

Could be the antibiotic like you thought. Does the vet think she can eat the good old stand-by yogurt? I know that's helped Gateway when he gets those icky days. It usually takes him 3 or 4 days to get totally back to normal.

She wasn't impressed. If it continues I'm going
to mix up some a/d with about 1/8 reaspoon of
yogurt and see what happens.

remember....greek yogurt is the best....just plain ol unflavored, unsweetened stuff. kitties can't taste sweet anyway so they don't need the added sugar;)
hope both ends are doing better today!

Greek is the only way to go. Even the low fat and no
fat are loaded with sugar and salt.

And for peoples, Greek yogurt tastes great with some honey squirted on it. Chop up some fruit to put on top of that and you've almost got heaven in a bowl.

Not very well. She has been lethargic and seems to
have problems eating. I've got a follow up visit with the
vet Friday. I'm going to have to start feeding her with a syringe
again tonight.

Well I'm going to take her in for a follow up
visit Monday. When I came in from dinner
she was curled up and having a nice nap. Very
relaxed not in the cat loaf position dozing.

Well last night she was chasing a small moth, which she
caught and ate. I need to give her some more gruel. Right now she
is nibbling some kibble. Also she has slept not dozed. I think that's
good too. Good sleep will help a purry person heal. She managed to get
out the front door this morning I was able to catch her. If the weather is nice
tomorrow afternoon I will let go out on the back porch.

ah some nice fresh air can always be of help;) i know what you mean about getting nervous about certain sleeping positions. with me i always worry when i see a kitty sleeping in the position that Buddy used to have to use last year. As long as its good deep kitty sleep its a good thing no matter what position:)

I know what you mean. The cat loaf (called "chicken boy" here) is either a good thing or bad thing here. If Gateway is just dozing comfortably in loaf position, no big deal. If he's like that with his head hanging down, he's probably panting, and that's a bad thing.

Glad to hear that Boo was hunting and attempting escape (unsuccessfully). Sounds like positive signs.
