Bubble tape is a long unbroken piece of gum that is rolled up and put into a small container instead of being wrapped. The container has a slot that you pull out the amount of gum that you want.

Here is a link that has a picture of what the container looks like.

The only flavor I remember bubble tape came was the original flavor. I have seen rock candy on a stick that you might eat you would a sucker. I have seen Zebra Stripe gum of late. It seems that gum has been around a long time. I don't remember the last time I bought a candy bar.

Jeane, the swizle stick, if I'm not mistaken is was used or is used in Old Fashions.
It's drink, I'd have to look it up but I think it was made with rye.

yeah you could use those rock candy swizzle sticks i the drink (ooo sugary boooze?)but i'd probably use mine in tea;)

i saw bubble tape at $5 and below today (its right next to micheals) they had blue raspberry.
i bought two tiny packets of sixlets, two tiny charlesom chews (vanilla) and some squirrel nut zippers. i always get those when i'm there....i can only find them online otherwise and i'm not paying those prices. they're 10cents a piece at $5 and below and that's a bit crazy to start with!

I saw Nestle's Crunch today for the first time in months or maybe in who knows how many years. The packaging was different from the last time I saw said candy bar.

My office was FULL of overflow Halloween candy today (God help me!). In one bag there were small, foil wrapped Easter Egg-shaped Nestle Crunches. Crunch is still alive, but I fear for the delineation of Holidays! affraid

the company that makes those rock candy swizzle sticks is one of our accounts. They sent a whole bunch of stuff over last year.

I've been trying to find a restaurant in New York that does a roast goose dinner.
When I was growing up we usually had roast goose or duck for Christmas. When my family was living up here they would take me to the Millerage Inn on Long Island which does roast goose for the Christmas season and my Birthday fell in that window. I haven't had it in years.

i haven't looked for one..but would they sell duck at the grocery store? (I"ve seen organic duck breast and thighs in the new section they have at the grocery store)you could make yourself a special thanksgiving and have left overs for a few days! (I miss making thanksgiving and christmas dinner...i loved having a whole turkey to nibble on for a month!).
it would probablyu be easier to do a breast or a couple thighs than a whole duck or goose too!

Well, I'm going to my cousin's for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so don't have to make a big meal. (Before my family moved away I used to make Chtistmas with a huge turkey.

Duck I can get any time. The diner where I eat alot of my meals has roast duck on their menu and I will get it every once in a while, but it is really the goose that I love the most.

The german restaurant I go to siometimes in Brooklyn will not have it on it's seasonal menu, but i called a restaurant that I've eaten at once or twice in manhattan, and they will have goose after Christmas. It's very expensive, though. and it's not the type of restaurant that you go to alone, I think I'll check with my friends who I meet with sometimes. They often eat at expensive places, and one of the girls ususaally treats me for my birthday and/or Christmas. Maybe they will decide to go .there

whachamacallits have been around since the mid or late 70s. think they came out around the same time as No Jellys did. (they were candy bars with peanut butter..hence, no jelly!) whachamacallits are chocolate with rice crispies mixed throughout and i think maybe a little carmel.haven't had one in years but they were good back when i did get them. (think they have them at CVS here).

I remembered another food item today. I do remember that it had cheese whiz type in its little section and crackers by itself with a small red stick. I think handi was part of the name.

I usually don't pay attention to the candy at the register, but 5th Avenue came to mind yesterday. I can't say that I have had one.
